Curry, 26, also made Kuchinsky perform "humiliating tasks outside the scope of his employment, such as cleaning up and removing dirty towels [into which Curry had ejaculated] so that his wife would not see them," the Manhattan federal court suit says.
Kuchinsky, 36, who is straight and Jewish, also alleges racism, saying Curry hurled slurs at him, including "f- - - ing Jew," "cracker," "white slave," "white devil" and "grandmaster of the KKK."

At first I thought that parts of this story seemed too insane to believe (like hiding the towel from his wife). Then I read that Curry aspired to be a gymnast as a child.

I don't know if you guys realize, but if it turns out he is gay, this is going to be a huge step to opening the door for gay athletes and the issue will be discussed ad nauseam on TV.

And now this tragic event. Notice that the story never mentions the recent lawsuit filed against Curry. I wonder if a white athlete accused of racism and "gay" sexual harassment would have that conveniently omitted from a subsequentnews story. I mean it's 30 years later and David Duke is still always referred to as "former KKK wizard David Duke."


Curry's ex, mother of son found slain


CHICAGO -- A woman found shot to death in a Chicago apartment was a former girlfriend of New York Knicks player Eddy Curry and the mother of his 3-year-old son, Curry's attorney said Sunday.


A relative found the bodies of Nova Henry, 24, and her 9-month-old daughter, Ava, in their apartment near the South Side on Saturday evening, Chicago police spokeswoman Monique Bond said. Both died from multiple gunshot wounds, the Cook County medical examiner's office said Sunday.


Curry's 3-year-old son was found unharmed at the scene. Curry is a former player for the Chicago Bulls.


Chicago police offered few details of the investigation at a news conference Sunday.


Deputy Superintendent Steve Peterson said police want to talk to someone who was "the object of an order of protection" but that person has not been located yet.


He declined to give further information.


Rob Bryant, who said he was Nova Henry's uncle, told the Chicago Sun-Times that Henry had a restraining order against her boyfriend. "She was trying to avoid all this," Bryant said.


A Knicks source close to Curry told the New York Daily News that Curry was "distraught" by the news. Curry cried after learning of the murders following New York's loss to Philadelphia on Saturday, according to the newspaper.


Curry's attorney, Kelly Saindon, said the basketball player's family was also devastated.


The Knicks issued a statement Sunday on Curry's behalf asking the media to respect the privacy of the two families.


"The Curry family is deeply saddened by this tragic loss and will keep the Henry family in their prayers," the statement said.


The city recently has seen several high-profile deaths blamed on domestic violence. A brother-in-law of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges he fatally shot Hudson's mother, brother and nephew. Prosecutors allege William Balfour killed them in October because he was upset the actress's sister had been dating another man.


Curry and his wife, Patricia, also had a scare there. The couple were bound and robbed at gunpoint in their suburban Chicago home in 2007.

Eddy Curry(notes) made a shade over $10 million this year as a member of the New York Knicks. Normally, I'd have said "playing for the New York Knicks," but that's a bit of an overstatement as Curry saw time in only seven games this season. Somehow, that's an improvement as the big guy appeared in just three contests the previous year. Baby steps, you guys.


Despite that enormous salary â€" and the fact that Curry has made more than $57 million in his nine-year career â€" the former No. 4 draft pick is seriously in debt. As the Associated Press reports, Curry defaulted on a $575,000 loan with an 85 percent interest rate, which can only happen in Nevada, and has been ordered to pay back $1.2 million to Allstar Capital Inc., the world's most ironic loan service.


However, Curry argues that he shouldn't have to pay off that debt, because he's spending too much money in other places. According to reports filed in the suit Curry's outgoing payments include:


"¢ $30,000 a month for "household expenses."


"¢ $17,000 a month to various relatives including his parents, sister and father-in-law.


"¢ More than $1,000 a month for cable and satellite television.


"¢ $207,000 a month in garnished wages that haven't been elaborated upon, but adds up to almost $2.5 million that Eddy Curry never sees over the course of a year.


"¢ $350,000 to Juwan Howard(notes). (What?)


Curry also owns 12 cars, three of which â€" a Rolls Royce convertible and two Land Rovers â€" may be taken by Allstar Capital, though Curry's lawyer says that they have reached "a mutually satisfactory resolution of the matter." Maybe Curry gets one of the Land Rovers and can drive the Rolls to important events? Seems fair to me.


Furthermore, Curry is still involved in that creepy sexual harrassment lawsuit from January of last year. Oh, and he's fighting with lawyers who he says mismanaged his money, leading to the foreclosure of his $3.7 million home near Chicago. Not to mention Curry's son's mother was murdered in January of 2009. Saying it's been a rough 16 months for the former Chicago standout is selling things a little short, I'd say.


On the bright side, Curry holds a player option of $11.2 million on his contract for next season. Pretty safe bet that he takes the Knicks up on that, even if he never sees a cent of it.

This is the reason why these kids need to go to college. Because you go out to the real world and get eaten alive. Some at least have some common sense or the right people to manage their money. Eddy had neither. Unfortunate situation with his mother but it still doesn't change the fact that his money management is poor.
