Duke Blue Devils 2009-10

Congrats to Duke blowing out UNC...not bad for a blue collar-gritty team that's sounathletic...what a load of cr*p! Never forget ole Booby Night saying how Duke won't be able to "out-athletic" UConn...it sure was fun watching them look so stupid! It gets old...

I hope Duke plays Northern Iowa in the National Championship!

That's just another reason I like March Madness so much because a Duke/Northern Iowa matchup for the championship would not be out of the question giving the right draw and a little bit of luck on your side in Northern Iowa's case.

I think a more realistic matchup would be Wisconsin V Duke

. Either way I love March Madness. Watching Ben Woodside almost single handledly beat Kansas last year is one of my favorite memories.

That would be a more realistic matchup and since Wisconsin beat Duke earlier this season I would welcome a chance for Duke to even the score.
You may be underestimating Northern Iowa though, I think they cracked the top 20 today.

Duke vs. Virginia this afternoon 12pm on ESPN. Notre Dame/West Virginia in Big East semifinals tonight at 9pm ESPN. The Irish are on a roll and Duke should be a #1 seed if they win the ACC tournament especially with #3 Syracuse losing yesterday.

Duke advanced to the ACC tournament semifinals with a 57-46 win over the Virginia Cavaliers. Here are the Duke players' stats:

Score was tied 27-27 at halftime but Singler and Smith got hot in the second half and ended Virginia's season. They play the winner of VT/Miami tommorrow afternoon in the ACC semifinal.
Hey Whiteathlete33! Are you getting exited about March Madness yet? This is my favorite time of the year as far as sports are concerned? It's alot of fun filling out those bracket contests online and with friends.

I sure am Guest301! I'll be rooting for Duke and any white friendly teams. We have a contest in my local paper where you pick the winners in each bracket. The prize is $10,000 but it's almost impossible to win.

My local paper did something like that as well but it was one of those national contests that was hard to win because you are competing with at least tens of thousands of people but I enter everyone I come across plus get in on any office pools I come across. So far rooting for Duke, Irish, Wisconsin, Nothern Iowa, Cornell, BYU,Montana, and any other white friendly team that gets in.

It's already over ToughJ. Duke won but Georgia Tech came back and kept it close at the end. Scheyer missed his first 6 three pointers but hit a huge three with less than a minute left to seal the win.

Looks like Duke will be playing the play-in winner in their first tourney game. You know, I haven't watched a single basketball game this year. Maybe I'll try to catch Duke or one of the other Whiter teams over the next week or so.

duke has an incredibly easy path to the elite 8. they play in game winner, followed by either cal or louisville, then probably texas a&m.

Scheyer and Singler have horrible games at times, so I'm definitely cautious.

Scheyer had a bad game yesterday against Georgia Tech like I mentioned before,. That didn't matter as he hit the most important shot of the game with less than a minute to go. That's what great players do when the game is on the line.

It sucks that Duke and Notre Dame( my two favorite teams) are in the same regional and would have to play in the elite eight if they made it that far.

It always seems to happen that way. One might even get the idea that it is on purpose.

I predict Cornell and BYU will make some waves early on in this tournament and at least one of them will make it past the sweet 16.

A writer for Bleacher Report says"it would be silly to suggest that white players are not as good as black players" --in the middle of usingblatant code words meaning just that. Lots of comments after this one:

Another problem with Krzyewski's squad is their lack of athleticism.

While it would be silly to suggest that white players are not as good as black players, one must truly take a look at race on the Duke team.

Out of 12 players on the Duke roster who have played all season, only three are black. In today's game, that is an uncanny white player to black player ratio, and I can't think of any other top program that only has three black players on their squad.

It raises the question, why are the top black players passing up on Duke? Has Coach K, one of the greatest coaches in the history of the game, lost his edge?

Because of their lack of depth, their poor inside game, and their lack of athleticism, this Duke squad is undeserving of their high ranking and will be exploited come tournament time.

For anyone to say that the Duke Team is not athletic is a complete joke! They can go ahead and believe in stereotypes. Duke can run and jump with any team out there. All of their best players are white with the exception of 1 guy. They have the Plumlee Brothers who can dunk on anyone. Kyle Singler can also jump out of the gym and has good foot speed. Even Scheyer can move. He may not be quite as fast as Bobby Hurley was but he is not an easy guy to guard.

Duke will go deep into the tournament. I see another trip to the final four coming!

The writer is obviously a DWF. I'm not sure on this one but Northern Iowa only starts one black and I think they actually have less than 3 blacks on their entire squad. They are a top team.

Duke is and has been my favorite team for some time now. In last few years they have dissapointed me with their performances in the tourney. THis year however; I think they can prove a lot of people wrong and I feel if things fall into place, they could go deep(Final 4).

He barely touched his brother... How much could a person already in flight push off anyway, I think he touched/moved his brothers head because he was slightly of on his angle for that monster jam.
