and Burkhead was screwed. Turns out the voting for the finalists was on the 21st. It was Ball, James and Richardson. Sucks because if they had voted later, today should have sealed the deal to be a finalist. At least he and Line were semi finalists, which there were 10 slots for.

Yes the Heisman was the same way until electronic voting was introduced a few years ago. I'm not sure he should win(Burkhead), but being a finalist would have been better justice. Also unlike the Heisman this is trophy is for the statistical best back in football, not the MVP(Heisman).
