With all the crap that went down last night on Black Thursday! I didn't notice my favorite player scoring 51 points but his team lost too. March 23 2006 "a night which will live in infamy"

Dirk is having a great season. He is up to almost 27 points per game.Even ESPN has been giving him alot more talk in the MVP Race and praising his improved defense, shot blocking & rebounding. He is a natural leader. They are my pick from the west to make the finals.

Darko defeats his old team 89-87. He had 8pts, 4 rebs, 2 asts and 1 block in 22 min. I really think he is going to breakout next year, this playing time he is getting is making him very confident and in the next few y ears he will be making a name for himself.

We should probably postin the Darko thread. He was 4-5 from the field tonight. A couple interesting comments from a message board:

Suprised the magic aren't going down low to Darko more he seemed to have his way with Sheed. Regardless this talk of him being a bust is ridiculous. He can play.

Yes he can - he's playing very solid right now and his team is winning. He looked good tonight, too. How can he play so well against the Pistons and it be true that he couldn't play well FOR the Pistons? It's not true. Detroit just never gave the kid a chance...

Looks like Dirk is starting to get real MVP hype now. I saw him on the cover of Slam magazine with the caption "Dirk For MVP-No Doubt" then in small letters it said "except maybe for that guy in Detroit." The other cover with Billups on it said the same thing about "the guy in Dallas." Anyway, I hope Dirk wins it. He is having a great year, and no one can deny the impact he has on his team.

Every basketball fan I've talked is a fan of Dirk's game and they all respect his talent. Dirk is one of a few white players who actually gets respect from all the white fans.

I miss the Dallas team of a few years back that started Bradley, Lafrentz, Nowitzki, and Nash. They were fun to watch. If Dirk hadn't turned that ankle in the conference finals that team might have won it all. I think Bradley's career was affected by anti White racism. He was just as good as Ming early in his career. It seemed that everyone wanted him to fail.

"I think Bradley's career was affected by anti White racism."

I think his basketball carer was affected by the fact that he can't play basketball. Shawn Bradley is a physical freak of nature but that does not automatically translate into being a good basketball player.

LaFrentz is the player that is harder to figure out. He showed tremendous potential early in his career but it hasn't really panned out. Very similar to Austin Croshere. On the bright side, both of those guys signed hellacious contracts, so at least they scored financially.

Bradley led the league in blocks twice and averaged double figures in points 4 years including those two. There was a period of time where he was pretty good. He got bad press no matter what he did.

Bradley had a lot of athetic ability....especially for a man that size. The knock on him was a lack of strength and a reputation for playing "soft" which is often unjustly attributed to white players, but in his case might have been accurate.

The Mavs have just got a little bit whiter. They traded for A.Croshere of the Ind.Pacers.I like this trade as he is a very physical, tough player.I don't know how much he has left at his age,but regardless,Dirk needs some help.I would love to see them go after Peja. Can you imagine Stoyakovic and Nowitzki on the same team?
