Granted I haven't read every NFL thread lately, but I don't remember anything being written about the passing of Dick Lynch on September 24. The former two way player and amateur boxer at Notre Dame and Giant CB/HB led the NFL in INTs in 1961 and 63. He became a broadcaster for the Giants and worked in that area for 40 years.

Colonel, I'm glad you created this thread because it hasn't been mentioned really. As a 23 year old Giant's fan my only memories of Lynch was as a broadcaster. I always enjoyed his broadcasts a great deal. IMO, he had that "old school" announcer sound. Great voice for the biz.

Needless to say, I also have a great deal of respect for Dick Lynch the player. CB/HB, what an athlete he must have been. The NFL needs more Dick Lynch's, both on the field and in the booth.
