I believe it's an Old Spice commercial with Brian
Urlacher. Towards the end of the commercial
Urlacher says, "I may not always win, but I always try
hard." I'm totally perplexed by this. What the h*ll
would compel the director to put this line in the
commercial? It has nothing to do with anything. It's
totally out of place. Maybe the director or producer
was playing a joke on the "dumb jock," I don't know.
It would be really easy to flagrantly belittle him;
commercials do that all the time. If they meant to
belittle him, I don't know why they chose to be so
subtle about it. I probably ignored the commercial
ten or twenty times before catching that line, so it's
not that noticeable. It's not a big deal, I just find it
really odd.
