Demographics of MLB

The season has yet to begin but when it does I will post a demographic breakdown of MLB.

Some posters here hold the contention that the league be only 55% non-hispanic white. Verses last years 60%.

You are mistaken. After taking a look at many pre-season 40 man rosters, it appears that there will be a higher percentage of whites in Major League Baseball this year. Case and point, the Brewers have 10 non-whites listed vs. 30 whites. The Brewers are far from alone in this reguard.

So far.... Looks good.

The Minors are stocked with plenty of Whites. Always have been. The question is how many will get a chance over a retread carribean black. But it does look better this spring.

Do you have any idea the ethnicity of Shane Victorino? He's from Hawaii but I can't find anything definitive on his ethnicity since there are many Hawaiian athletes who are white..
