I watched the Daytona 500. It was the worse sportscast I have ever seen.
Nascar, get a clue. We are here for the race. Tell us when the race starts. I do not ever want to sit through an hour and a half of crap waiting for the race to start. get rid of the Fox network while you are at it.

Not a popular sport here seemingly, but the great Daytona 500 is on today on Fox. It's good to see a sport and announcers without the usual NWO typical forced cast of characters, although the PTB are doing everything to destroy this 99% White male sport. It's a bit of delay for the start because of a light rain. It's starting soon and weather is clear now. Enjoy!

Congrats to Deny Hamlin for his second straight Daytona 500 win in a wreck marred finish. How in the world did Ryan Newman survived that crash? I don't know where the drivers rank the crash but, it is in my top five all time.

Newman was released from the hospital today.

That crash would've meant death or a life of debilitation in years past. Technology and the grace of God let him basically walk away from disaster or death.

Without a shadow of a doubt. Technological advances regarding safety were critical because when you see the crash it looks deadly.

Three key factors.

1-Fortified fire proof suit. I believe they keep tinkering with these suits.

2-Energy absorbing walls providing a safety barrier, something that wasn't in place when Dale Earnhardt Sr. died when crashing into a concrete wall.

3-Mandated head and neck restraints that provide much better protection than in the past. This is probably the most important life saving factor.

Below is an already iconic photo of Ryan Newman walking out of the hospitals with his two young daughters. To think he was leading when this happened is tough to swallow. I think this propels him into most favorite NASCAR driver going forward.

Newman has been a big advocate for better safety features for ten years or so. I believe he has a degree in engineering and has spoken out against bump drafting racing even going as far as telling fans not to attend these types of races. With that being said I still can't believe he survived that crash.

Forget Daytona…come to Chicago and watch the 19th best driver named Bubba. Also, try not to get robbed or shot.
