Well, it's not a whole lot, but Darko has had a couple of decent
outings. Over the weekend he scored seven points in seven
minutes against the Wizards. I saw the brief highlights and he
knocked down a couple of shots against Etan Thomas, whose
considered a good defender. One shot was a turn around fade
away off the glass. Very nice. And a baseline jump shot. Yes!
Jump shots! Welcome to the 21st century, Larry Brown! And
yesterday he scored eight points. Antonio MacDyess got
ejected so that's probably what cracked the door open for
Darko. Again, not a whole lot, but it's a lot better than the 0-2
points that he usually gets.

All he has to do to get consistent playing time is to be better
than MacDyess, offensively and defensively. Hopefully that'll
happen next year.

I didn't see either games, but he had a career high 16 points in
30 minutes against the lowly Hawks. He also had several
rebounds and 3 blocks. He was very good despite early foul
trouble. I believe he had 8 points the following night.

Thanks JD, Seems like if he gets a chance to play and develop he could do some damage.

I saw Darko's career-high game. He has offensive skill, no doubt. Even
though he's more comfortable facing the hoop, his post-up game could be
exceptional. Defensively he's certainly not close to being there yet.

Darko just needs to play. Being healthy this summer should help him a lot.

Does anyone know how long Darko is stuck in Detroit.I
would love to see a team like Dallas,Sacramento,Seattle
or San Antonio to go out and make a trade for this guy.
It's a crime that they let him sit game after game.He
could have been a great player if they would have brought
him along slowly. Why didn't Kwame Brown get the same
treatment.What a joke.Trade the man.I wouldn't be
suprised if he doesn't even want to play in the nba
anymore. If I were him,I would rather be in Europe.

One more year, and possibly a team option for one more after
that. I'm not sure how all that contract stuff works. I doubt he'll
be traded, but who knows. The Nuggets gave up on
Tskitishvili, a fifth overall pick a few years ago. So it's possible.
It would be an embarrassment for Dumars if he trades him.
And he's expensive, about three million a year I believe.
Maybe he could get traded after the All Star break and it
wouldn't be that big of a financial risk for some team. But then
he wouldn't have that much time in better circumstances.

The worst-case scenario is that he goes back to Europe a
millionaire. At least he could be a decent player there. Not a
bad fortune, despite all the disappointment.
