Richard M. Daley is not running for reelection! I haven't been this happy since Bill Wirtz kicked the bucket. The only thing that would make me happier is if Daley died, and he just might.
Daley is one of the greatest race traitors in our nation. Good by and good riddance.
I am going to take a few days to celebrate. I will also determine what kind of ploy this is to help him to keep power. Be back in a few days.

With or without Daley as mayor, Chicago is truly a hellhole. Not the worst of the bunch, but definitely on the list. I read today that over 250 Chicago Public School students were shot last year either on the way to school, or on the way home from school. 22 of them died. I have a hard time imagining that kind of violence. This year, they got all the way to day 3 of the school year before a kid was shot and killed. Sad.

Some of the worst, most crime ridden areas were regentrified and thousands of pioneers moved into areas where their were tear downs and then brand new expensive condos built with the hope of the areas changing and thier home values appreciating. Hemoved alot of the section 8 and welfare recipients out to suburban Cook county and Dupage county. You know, you work hard all of your life, save money to buy a home in an area that has good schools and people that you identify with that have common values and then you have to be subjected to having people live beside you that have no right to by their own merit.

To Col Reb,
The Chicago school children that were killed were blacks and hispanics killed by blacks and hispanics. No white people were involved!
The question I have is, should we care? The news media is race neutral, so the impression to outsiders is that school children of every race or creed are being plugged on their way to school.
It has always been a sore point for Daley's image that the city has a high violent crine rate. But it is the non-whites that are killing and dying.

So what's your point, screamingeagle? Besides, I doubt you know for a fact that none of the 250+ kids who were shot were White. Remember the CPS still has a 9% White student population, not 0%. I care even if just 1 White kid was shot going to or coming back from school. There are lots of Whites stuck in areas that aren't safe for them to live in. It's easy to excuse it all and say "well, as long as they are just killing each other off" but we often ignore the fact that some Whites suffer through this conflict. Whites still live in Chicago and they could be affected by this violence as well. What should be learned from this and talked about is the fact that the diversities behave totally different than Whites. Once that is realized, then some of these problems might be avoided by Whites. That's why I brought up the violence in the first place.

The 9% white students are in the magnet schools or prep academies. They are not in the bad areas.
There are parts of Chicago that I have not seen in years. Once you see the burnt out buildings, the gang graffiti, abd the absence of white faces, you get out as fast as possible. Chicago is a big city, it is easy to avoid the bad areas. The only whites that live there are whores and junkies.
The violence does effect white people. Little Jamal gets shot. Since he is too young, stupid and ugly to be a gang member, he probably is truly an innocent bystander.
What happens next is predictable. They will have the stop the violence marches. Then they will demand more money for social programs. The Al Shartons in training will demand more jobs- as if gang members really want jobs. How are they going to pay for this? By increasing the heavy taxes the white people have to pay. We already have the highest taxes in the nation. This is chasing away honest people and honest businesses.
Any goofball is better than a Daley.

There was a public service Ad in Chicago about teenage violence; and ,of course, who did they show being arrested and put in a police car at the end of the Ad: a white male teenager. 99.9999% of the teenage gun violence is from non-white teenagers.

Many minorities are now moving to the suburbs and making them worse.The Northwest Side is pretty much white. They were probably 99% or more white in the 70's. Edison park on the NW is 94% white and only .17% black. Norwood Park is 88% white and only .88% black. On the other hand Englewood on the SW side is 97.8 black and only .44% white.


These neighborhoods run anywhere from about 10,000 to 60,000 people.
