White pitchers continued their dominance in Major League Baseball with Max Scherzer/Detroit Tigers and Clayton Kershaw/Los Angeles Dodgers winning the AL Cy Young Award and NL Cy Young Award respectively.
Scherzer went 21-3 with 240 strikeouts(2nd) and fifth in the AL with a 2.90 ERA. He was the only 20 game winner in baseball.
Kershaw went 16-9 with 232 strikeouts and a Major League best 1.83 ERA. The lowest ERA in 13 years.
Kershaw also became the first 2-time Cy Young winner under the age of 26!
