**Hey guys, this is "BoxingFanUK", it seems we have a new website and my old login "BoxingFanUK" was not working, so I have chosen this username as my new handle on this site. So from now on I will post as "Ahmet 2k"**

Now, I figured in light of the purpose of this site, we would do well to maintain, update and keep a list of all the white champions in the sport of boxing.

So, as of July 25, 2011

Current white boxing champions.
Wladimir Klitschko, RING Magazine, WBA "Super", WBO "Super", IBF Heavyweight
Vitali Klitschko, WBC Heavyweight

Marco Huck, WBO Cruiserweight
Kris Wlodarczyk, WBC Cruiserweight

Nathan Cleverly, WBO Light Heavyweight

Lucian Bute, IBF Super Middleweight
Carl Froch, WBC Super Middleweight
Dimitri Sartison, WBA Super Middleweight
Robert Stieglitz, WBO Super Middleweight

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, WBC Middleweight
Daniel Geale, IBF Middleweight
Gennady Golovkin, WBA Middleweight
Sergio Martinez, RING Magazine Middleweight
Dmitry Pirog, WBO Middleweight
Felix Sturm, WBA "Super" Middleweight

Saul Alvarez, WBC Light Middleweight
Serhiy Dzinziruk, WBO Light Middleweight

Vyacheslav Senchenko, WBA Welterweight
Jan Zaveck, IBF Welterweight

Robert Guerrero, WBA Interim, WBO Interim Lightweight

Ricky Burns, WBO Super Featherweight

Johnathan Barros, WBA Featherweight

Omar Narvaez, WBO Super Flyweight

Total # white boxing titles. 27
% of white boxing titles as per total boxing champions. 30.0% (27 out of a total 90 titles)

Interestingly enough, in case any of you were wondering there are 21 black boxing titles. So, the number of white champions, as of July 12, 2011, is larger than the number of black champions by 4 (25-21).

This is great news for white and European boxing fans!

I know that many people on this site post on mainstream boxing forums, and this thread will be useful in terms of a reference when arguing with mainstream fans. Also, this thread stands as a reminder to the accomplishments of white boxers! White boxers today are more successful than ever in integrated history and that should be applauded!

From looking at these numbers, it is simply factual to say that white boxers are more dominant in the sport of boxing than any other race. These numbers further the notion that boxing is becoming a Euro-Centric sport (this shift began occurring in the late 1990s, early 2000s), and I think that is great news! This is especially true of weight divisions above 140 pounds (Light Weltereight) where white boxers essentially dominate.

On the flip side, it is also apparent when looking at these numbers that room for growth of white boxers exists in terms of competing in lower weight divisions. This is where white boxers and Euro boxers need to continue making gains.

Essentially, the only thing stopping total boxing domination by European is weightclasses below 140 pounds!

Cheers and I will keep this list updated

:)

Nice list BoxingFan! Whites control around 70 percent of belts from middleweight up, and those are the divisions that I really consider when I think of boxing. I mean who actually cares about these 120 and 130 lb champions. I guess we can also consider Shumenov as a white champion at light heavy. He looks to be part Asian but still.

Yea, I really don't care about the "nothing" weight divisions...

Since there are very few white fighters at these light divisions the media tells us that they are the most exciting. Heavyweight always was the most exciting division in all of boxing for the entire 20th century until now when whites are champs.

There are more White champions than that. A few of the Mexican champions below 130 are White too. Especially if you consider the Eurasian as White. Chavez jr is clearly more Caucasian than Beibut.

Beibut Shumenov is not white. He is from Kazkahstan, and looks extremely, almost completely East Asian. He could literally pass as being pure Chinese from his appearance.

I am a fan of Beibut (because in a round about way, although not directly, he supports European and Eurasian boxing). But Beibut is not white at all.

Chavez Jr., I will agree with you on that point! In fact, when Zbik lost to Chavez Jr. I stated on this site that I thought Chavez should be considered white. He certainly looks white, or atleast 75% white and 25% mixed latin american. He can pass as being white, so yes we can include him.

You mention "mexicans below 130 pounds". Hmmm, I dont think any of those Mexicans are white. I know for a fact Giovanni Segura is not. Feel free to prove me wrong with pics or youtube though!

Id always be happy to add more white boxers to the champion list, but at the same time, we should also be honest in our definition of "white". Re: Beibut Shumenov, great fighter and Im a fan of him. But he's not white, so shouldnt be on the list.

Ramon Garcian Hirales was a champion as of May and he looks like the drug dealing White Mexican from the show Weeds. Of course cultural relativity is part of it too. People like Chavez Jr and Hirales have some Aboriginal ancestry I would guess it's about 1/4 or less for the two.

My definition of whether a fighter or player is white is based on how they affect casteonomics. If they are viewed by the system or DWFs as white, then they are benefitting our cause. Mexican fighters, and fighters such as Manny Pacquiao are not looked at as white by most in the establishment, and are often held up as "victorious minorities" against the eeeeevil white hegemony.

Of course, I don't subscribe to the ridiculous "one-drop rule" as espoused by some, because based on that, I need to move out of my house and go live in a tee-pee because of a small amount of Amero-indian heritage in my distant ancestry.

Yes among the American media ethnicity/race is a no fly zone which can only lead to censure or worse firing. So when an obvious White fighter like Alvarez wins a title writers will timidly wade in and state that it's unusual for a Mexican boxer to have red hair. It will never be stated that he is a White Mexican(only implied). At one time when Americans weren't so culturally sensitive fighters with unusual ancestry had it highlighted. Danny Little Red Lopez was stated to be Native American, Mexican(mestizo) and Irish and Ring Magazine had a cartoon to illustrate the ancestries ie native dress a sombrero and a corn cob pipe....

The only reason I call Shumenov a Eurasian is that scientists have done studies on native Kazakhs and other Turkic people and they have varying degrees of European and East Asian ancestry. Obviously it shades more to the East Asian side, but there are full blooded Kazakhs would look more Russian than Mongolian(he doesn't).

Omar Narvaez, the current WBO super flyweight champion from Argentina, is definitely white.

This is a bit off topic but the "Supaman" Paul Williams was given another gift decision recently against a Cuban fighter. Looks like Sergio Martinez should be able to dominate for years with the afflete struggling.

Bump!

I edited the list to include both Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Omar Narvaez as being white (as per consensus reached in this thread). That makes the total # of white championships right now at 27.

Also, black boxing champion Zab Judah was knocked out in 5 rounds last weekend, so he has lost his title and the number of black championships has thus decreased by 1, now at 20.

This is great news and simply shows that the share of titles in boxing is constantly increasing and the sport is simply becoming more Eurocentric!

The Klitschko brothers and all the other top white fighters had better be careful. "Bimbo" Slice is now a boxer. Looks like he could be the next Tyson.

Yes, the n's on ESB have a new heart throb, a new Great Black Dope. But this latest Great Black Dope hasn't even fought one single actual pro boxer yet, but that doesn't stop them from going on about he will be the savior of the heavyweight division and the Klitschko "sisters" are scared etc etc.

The idiots at Sportscenter showed his "highlight" win over some bum. When the Klitschko's win there is no coverage. I guess your average bum negro boxer is more important than the best heavyweights in history.

Ah, they're serious, then. That's okay, I hope they hype him just as much as they did in MMA, and his defeat is just as embarrassing. It's a win for our side, again, in that case.

Yes, good ole Kevin Ferguson aka "Bimbo" Slice knocked his white opponent out in the first round. His opponent looks like he was picked out of the crowd. I'll go as far to say that any top 100 heavyweight in the world would knock Slice out within a few rounds.

That will always be one of my best sports memories! The media were so jacked over Kimbo that even CBS got in the act, seting up a primetime MMA show built around Slice, and stacking the deck for Kimbo in ever way they could.

In an interview on Moster in the Morning radio show Seth Petruzelli said CBS representatives offered him more to stand and trade with the far bigger Slice. So Petruzelli agreed, went in and knocked out what little brains Kimbo had in just 14 seconds!! Kimbo, being semiconscious was attacking the referee! So the jews at CBS ended up paying Slice and Petruzelli more money just to show white fans a giant negro going down in 14 seconds to a small white guy!

From Fightnews. It's not a major title but it's something. Bruwer is a white fighter.

Former cruiserweight world title challenger Alexander Alexeev (22-2, 20 KOs) outclassed game Daniel Bruwer (22-3-1, 19 KOs) claiming the vacant WBC International cruiserweight title by eighth round KO on Friday night at the Kugelbake Halle in Cuxhaven, Germany. The WBO #6 rated Alexeev, a former Olympian and amateur world champion, dominated every minute of every round in a methodical beatdown until Bruwer finally took a knee in the eighth. Time was 1:36.

I downloaded the video from www.sweetboxing.com and watched it. It was a nice performance by Alexeev.

Bruwer is a tough guy who had never been stopped before, but Alexeev boxed intelligently and gradually broke him down.
