I'm convinced that there has been a conspiracy to hold the venerable Mr. Thorpe back. I believe that the league and the media are embarrassed by his ridiculous name and how they could possibly pronounce it with a straight face. Imho, as black baby names become more and more absurd, this will be an even bigger problem in the future for their NFL or MBA prospects. Who knows- perhaps the stupidity of black parents may inadvertently open the door of opportunity for more white players.
