Cooper Lewis

Cooper Lewis is a redshirt freshman rb for Louisiana Tech. What the bloody hell? He is apparently is putting on a clinic in spring practice and is challenging Hunter Lee for 1st team carries. His high school youtube video from McNeil, Texas has him as a jack of all trades kind of player. Get past the 2 minute mark and this kid is elusive, strong and speedy. What is up with L. Tech and white running backs?

They don't pay attention to race. They just scoop up the overlooked athletes in high profile areas such as Texas. Some of them just happen to be White.....

He might have more of a role like Phillip Livas had with Lee getting the bulk of the work, at least this year. Lewis still has some weight to add on, he still is under 190. Lee is over 200. Both will be challenge for a starting spot in the future since both can easily play multiple positions, Lee is a jack of all trades as well, not only did he rush for 1400 yards his senior year, he caught over 100 passes for 1400 yards.

I am enjoying it. I find it amazing entire confrences go out of their way to avoid recruiting white running backs and L. Tech has not only 3 in the last year but now 4. Another pretty good white rb from again Texas is on their roster in Brandon Donahue. Hes not a burner but hes strong and can break tackles.
