Cooper Kupp

Kupp to IR meaning the most number of games he can now play this year is 13. He has had trouble staying healthy throughout his career. Imagine his numbers if he weren’t missing so many games.
 
Sounds like all systems go for Cooper:

Rams head coach Sean McVay stated WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) is “going through a normal practice” Wednesday.
McVay explained Kupp is listed as limited on the team’s injury report, adding “it says limited, he’s not going to be limited.” Kupp will go through a normal practice despite his limited designation on Wednesday. He was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury prior to the Week 1 and just had his 21-day practice window opened by the Rams. McVay’s comments indicate Kupp is pretty much at a full-go in practice, boding well for his Week 5 status. Kupp will likely be eased into games, but Puka Nacua’s fantasy value takes a hit with Kupp’s return.

They will be fun to watch with Stafford, Kupp, Higbee, and a few defenders in the rotation. I also like Nacua as he has certainly faced many of the challenges our guys have faced (although not all). Also, he grew up in Utah and his family is friends with Dana White.

Nacua, while not white, has also faced the black-worship prevalent at the levels of football. He is a good player and by all accounts a good person from what I know.

If the Rams are not going to use Skorwenek, then Kupp and Nacua and Higbee are a good 1-2-3 punch for a team to feature.
 
Kupp and Nacua could be the best 1/2 punch at the wide receiver position in the NFL if they both play up to their ability. I imagine
that they will limit Kupps opportunities in the first game to ease him back into the flow. They don't want to reagravate the injury.
 
Kupp and Stafford are starting a podcast “9 and Dime.” They are apparently very close, and I have no doubt that Kupp will get substantial targets.

He is elite for sure.

I’m sure it’s been talked about before, but Kupp only had 2 scholarship offers… Eastern Washington and Idaho State. This is not a surprising fact except both his father and grandfather played in the NFL. How does a guy like him get completely ignored even with a pedigree like he has?
 
So a guy with elite quickness, agility, and intelligence who has an nfl lineage gets offers from powerhouses Idaho state and eastern Washington. He somehow goes on to be the best player at the position in the nfl, even though wide receivers are prob 10-15 percent white (as a position).

If that doesn’t sum it all up, hard to say what does.
 
Kupp missed the first four games of the season due to a hamstring injury. In his first two games back, Weeks 5 and 6, he went 8/118 and 7/148/1, typical Cooper numbers. In the five games since he's gone 2/29, 4/21, 2/48, 1/11 and 3/18.

What the hell's going on?? Did he reinjure his hamstring and is playing through it? He had a low ankle sprain in Week 11 and played this past week. But something is seriously, seriously off. I don't have the Sunday ticket anymore and have watched very little of the Rams this year so can't analyze it beyond that, but somehow Kupp has gone from a superstar to practically a scrub in the space of five games. Very disturbing.

I haven't seen any Rams games here in the KC area. He had 59 snaps (88%) in the last game vs the Cardinals but according to reports he was limping around signficantly. Still led all receivers in snaps. Don't know if the plays weren't called for him or if he just wasn't able to get open because of his multiple injuries that he's playing through.
 
Hopefully he gets some rest this offseason and comes back strong he did not look healthy all year.

HoF talent that struggles to stay consistently healthy. His 2021 season is arguably the best of a WR in history.
 
Would be great to see, no reason why he doesn't have several big years left if he can stay healthy. Christian McCaffrey had a couple injury marred seasons due to leg injuries but got over them, we need Cooper to do the same:

Watching Cooper Kupp in his prime when healthy is as fun as watching Christian McCaffrey. Both of these guys just can change
the way defenses have to play. It opens up so many other things for the other offensive players as the defenses key in
on the star players. If Cooper Kupp is in for a Revenge Tour, it will be so much fun to watch!

The news about Cooper Kupp continues to be very positive. Would love to see him stay healthy and have another huge season or three before age eventually catches up with him:

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler said the Rams offense “clearly runs through [Cooper Kupp]” after observing practice at the team’s training camp.
Fowler believes Kupp “is all the way back” after the 31-year-old missed five games with an ankle injury last season. According to Fowler, a source close to him said the veteran receiver is “on an absolute mission” this season and that he “was deeply affected about not being [on the field] for parts of last year.” Kupp finished last season as the WR24 in fantasy points per game (13.9), but was the WR1 in back-to-back seasons before that. Still a preferred target of Matthew Stafford’s, it will be interesting to see Kupp’s target share is affected by Puka Nacua, who is coming off a record-breaking rookie season. Whether or not the offense truly runs through Kupp is to be determined, but it sounds like both Kupp and Nacua should be primed for another productive year this season.
