Fittingly, Super Bowl LVI was won by the NFL’s most prolific offensive player. Cooper Kupp's 1-yard touchdown with 1:25 left served as the winning score in the Rams' 23-20 victory over the Bengals. Kupp was named Super Bowl Mvp after catching 8 of 10 targets for 92 yards and two touchdowns. Kupp is the eighth receiver to win Super Bowl MVP!

Averaging 893 receiving yards and scoring 24 touchdowns over the previous four seasons as a key playmaker on the Rams' offense, this season Cooper Kupp became he fourth player in NFL history to earn the triple crown as the league leader in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947) and receiving touchdowns (16). That production has continued in the playoffs, as Kupp has hauled in 25 passes for 386 yards and four touchdowns, including two in L.A.'s NFC Championship Game victory over the 49ers on Jan. 30.

"He's been such a special player, not only this year, but really since we drafted him five years ago," Rams coach Sean McVay said. "Love Cooper Kupp!”

Great receiver. And he's still so young. He should be great and elite for years to come.

Best Case for our cause is Cooper Kupp. I’m calling it now the white Jerry Rice. He will be one of the greatest WR Ever and the NFL will have to deal with the best WR Being white!!! A great night for our guys.

Best WR in the league, even DWFs have to admit it now.

Anyone remember when McVay wouldn't give him targets and everyone here was questioning why a player as talented as Cooper was wasted run blocking and only playing <75% of snaps?

It was infuriating. That was in 2019, when Kupp was tearing up the league just like he did this year. Starting Week 5 he had six games where he played less than 73% of the snaps, with a low of 29% in Week 14.

If I was to guess, in '19 McVay throttled Cooper back to appease the locker room's real or potential jealousy. But this year the Rams were all in, they traded way too many future draft picks not to have their best player on the field whenever possible. And Matt Stafford recognized who his best weapon was and wasn't bashful about throwing to him whereas Goff seemed more inclined to spread the ball around rather than zero in on Kupp.

Wow, you have a great memory for these things!

Now it’s coming back to me. I believe Cooper was leading the league in receiving yards after week 5 as he had 505 yards. I think the thing that probably ticked off the brothas was his targets. 10, 9, 12, 15 and 17! The following week only 6. Then the rest of the season, 10 targets was the ceiling. Kupp had a good season but could have easily went for 1,500 if he wasn’t reigned in.

I agree. I never thought I'd see someone I could compare to Rice but this year Cooper confirmed it. Cooper is a how does he do that kind of player. I'd call Rice more of a glider and maybe an edge with the deep ball. Then again, I don't think he could have turned running back the way Kupp did for that drive saving first down.

Kupp is just crazy good.
