Cooper Flagg 2025 NBA First Round Pick 1 and NBA Rookie of the Year

Flagg was clearly the ROY. Kon had a great shooting season, but Flagg does it all. The argument that Charlotte had a better record (they missed the playoffs) is ridiculous. NOBODY said anything about the 2023 Sours record was 22-60, and Wemby won the ROY.

Congrats to both and finishing 1-2 is amazing. But I agree that Flagg is the generational talent and Knueppel a great player who mostly excels as a shooter.

  • He became the first rookie to lead his team in total points, rebounds, assists and steals since Michael Jordan in 1984-85.
  • He became the fourth rookie since the NBA-ABA merger in 1976-77 to average at least 20 points, six rebounds and four assists. The others: Luka Doncic, Larry Bird and Jordan.
  • He became the first teenager with four 40-point games; the first teenager with consecutive 40-point games; and the first teenager with a 50-point game.
  • He was sixth in the league on baskets off drives and, per GeniusIQ tracking, brought the ball up fifth most among all frontcourt players.

Not a fan of this outlet or even the article itself, but this headline wouldve been unthinkable in MSM 5-10 years ago. Baby steps?

this brings to mind a similar story by the same author this summer …

Embrace of Wemby as face of the NBA proves resistance toward Jokic was always racial | Bobby Burack

The NBA embraces Victor Wembanyama in ways it never did Nikola Jokic, raising questions about racial bias in how the league treats its top players.

Thanks guys. Both articles by Bobby Burack are very good and he should be highly commended. This articles are likely the first time normies are exposed to the idea so I fully support him doing what he’s doing on Outkick or Fox News.

Blacks are going to have to get over the notion that basketball is “their sport”. Jokic was the best player the past decade and now Doncic and Flagg will be the best players for the next decade. We should start calling it our sport now to really grind their gears.
