This will be big!

from Yahoo:
Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona was shot and possibly killed Saturday. According to NPR, she is now dead. However, the local sheriff, Clarence Dupnick, has told MSNBC that she is still alive and a hospital spokesman has also told MSNBC that Giffords is alive and in surgery. She was hosting a public event at a Safeway grocery store on the north side of Tucson.

NPR says Giffords and 6 others were killed. According to Dupnick, 5 people were killed and 6 wounded.

The motives of the attacker, who was detained on the scene and taken into custody, are at this point unknown. Fox is reporting that the gunman "ran up and began shooting indiscriminately as Giffords addressed supporters." According to the New York Times, the Tuscon Citizen is reporting that Giffords was shot at close range.

Witnesses say that the gunman was in his "late teens or early twenties." An eyewitness who contacted Gawker says that he was young, mid-to-late 20s, white clean-shaven with short hair and wearing dark clothing." According to their source, he looked like a "fringe character."

Giffords was first elected represent Arizona's 8th district in 2006. She was married to astronaut Mike Kelly.

It will be interesting to see what the man actually looks like. The cultural marxists sure want clean shaven young White men to be seen as "fringe characters." After all, if he's White he's gotta be ray-sis.

I looked up Giffords on wikipedia. She's a democrat, blue dog, supports gun rights, stronger border control. She's jewish, looks like she has been supported by daddy most of her life and copted a trophy husband in Mike Kelly, an astronaut in 2007.

It will be interesting to see who killed her and why, or who did it and how is it spun by the media. I see problems already in her support for gun control and being shot in public.

It could get ugly but I've always said no real change comes before blood is spilled.

I see that the new Speaker of the House, John (emo) Boehner has stated, among other things, "Acts and threats of violence against public officials have no place in our society."

Oh yeah? What about the multiplied thousands of acts or threats of violence directed towards White from non-whites every year? Oh I forgot, us voting Whites don't matter, just the politicians.

At FR the research is already being done by the computer savy, one guy already has a Kos poster who was deranged at Giffords for being a DINO. I think it is Oswald II, myself, an Olbermann fan.

As of now, Rep. Giffords is still alive. The suspect is a 22-year old white male named Jared Laughner, according to first reports.

Jared Laughner? Sounds Jewish? At first I thought the shooter was White, then Mexican. We will find out soon enough.

Probably a hardcore marxist who didn't appreciate "DINO" Gifford's stance for the 2nd Amendment & against the legal invasion.

I know part of it is because they got conflicting reports about where she was alive or not, but I have received 7 email alerts from CNN about this in less than 3 hours. I have never received more than 3 emails from them about any story in the same day before. They definitely consider any and all politicians more important than the voting public. Sad.

From my research Gifford's was about as anti-immigration as McCain - just says the right things around election time.

She voted for the Dream Act from what I've read, so is probably a mealy mouthed politician. Opposed by the Tea Party as well.

Curious how much his death has been downplayed. 99%+ of the coverage is being given to Giffords, who is still alive but probably in very bad shape, while the death of a federal judge is a mere footnote thus far. May be related to how little value a man's lifeis givenin this society compared to that of a woman's.

From Washington Post:

Slain federal judge John Roll was at the center of Arizona's immigration debate
By Jerry Markon
John. M. Roll, the federal judge killed Saturday in the Tucson shooting that critically wounded Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), has been at the center of the state's complicated political battle over immigration.

In February 2009, Roll received hundreds of threats after he allowed a lawsuit filed by illegal immigrants against a rancher to go forward. "They cursed him out, threatened to kill his family, said they'd come and take care of him. They really wanted him dead," a law enforcement official told The Washington Post in May 2009.

Threats against federal judges and prosecutors nationwide have been soaring in recent years. There is no indication he was the gunman's target, and witness accounts describe the shooter as firing at Giffords first.

U.S. marshals put Roll, who was appointed to the federal bench by President George H.W. Bush in 1991, under 24-hour protection for about a month. They guarded his home in a secluded area just outside Tucson, screening his mail and escorting him to court, to the gym and even to Mass.

You guys watching Fox News? The face of the shooter has been shown several times. He's white alright, it's an old photo of him with long hair but clean shaved. He looks red-headed.

John Roll and Gabrielle Giffords are typical neo-conservatives, so both are obviously against the Tea Party movement.

As for the shooter, he pointed out in his "twitted" manifestos that Washington can't be trusted, that they are mind-controlling people through the media, and he despises religion. He's a typical anarchist.

I'm sure to the MSNBC crowd he will be cast as the typical Tea Partier followed by the Tea Party scrambling to distance itself from anyone with non-standard views.

Now I loathe the totalitarian state, but anarchists strike me as immature and selfish. They have to realize that these sorts violent self-indulgent temper tantrums never foment any sort of mass movement and actually make people afraid and thus more willing to cede power to the state. I hope he's still proud of himself when his actions are being used by the state to justify more police powers and intrusions on the citizenry.

There are three points that the CMs will push, blog or float.

1. White men are bad.

2. Guns are bad.

3. The wack job is a TEA party member, thus they are bad.

The spin will be that the political discussion in this country is too "toxic" and that "fringe" thinking, i.e. anything that isn't leftist is dangerous. It will be used to beat down opposition with the accusation that any strenuous objection emboldens the nutcases and so must be avoided.

It will not be possible to spin this guy as a Tea Pary or right wing nut, he's clearly on the left, so the tack the media will take is that any passionate protest is just one step away from that kind of craziness.

Yes guns will also be an issue too.

This looks like the work of one or 2 nutjobs, without any ties to the Tea Party or any other conservative movement. But of course, that is not how it will be analyzed. They will use this to take away even more liberties now. Heck, people were just getting used to being molested at airports before boarding planes, and now this. Who knows what laws will be drafted to further undermine the Constitution?

It could all be another false-flag for all we know. In any event, the media finally got their wish. Instead of the usual suspects (muslims, Somali immigrants, blacks, etc), they finally have the elusive white male to demonize and we won't hear the end of it. After all, from what I've seen, each time we've had one of these events, there's always this sadness that the perpetrator wasn't a white male, but instead a member of one of the afore-mentioned groups.

The next few days will be interesting to see what comes out of it.
