to add to bizarre behavior of the above post, Congressman Etheridge went on the record a couple of years ago, saying young people should "get involved."

I'm hoping this congressman's career is toast as he heads into the November elections. Whoever is running against him should just repeatedly run that video over and over.
Westside, you are right. The young man should have defended himself, a nice hard head butt to the nose would have done the trick.

Sorry for my convoluted post. I was once again on my IPhone posting. What I meant to say is "That student should have kicked that poor excuse for a congressman in the nads. That would have been epic." Just image this congressman saying "oh sh*t you just kicked me in my balls, you little f**k"!

America 20xy

The video speaks for itself:

Because cameras are more widely available to the average consumer and because of the popularity of user fed sites like YouTube,(along with the obvious propaganda of the mainstream media creating a thirsty market for raw information) citizen journalists have become abundant in America over the past decade. Often videos of confrontations with important figures go viral on the net through the efforts ofcountless bloggers who faithfully spread the information to the farthest corners of the web.

This phenomenon has weakened the controlled media's power toinfluence and shape reality, as well asthe power of politicians to control their exposure through that media.

When powerful people lose control, they really lose control.

Congressman Bob Etheridge of North Carolinaassaulted a student on a public street the other day simply for asking him, "What do you think of Obama's agenda?"Â￾ Since then, many writers of "progressive"Â￾ blogs have been eager to defendEtheridge by speculating that the students involved were GOP plants. Regardless of whether or not that's true, (no proof of thatyet),the majority of citizen journalists aren't. The Congressman's reaction is a perfect illustration of just how on edge the new media has put members of the establishment, who are desperate toreel inthe information revolution and put the plebes back in their places.

This real lifeversion of The Empire Strikes Back isseen not only in physical altercations like the one that happened withCongressman Etheridge, (more often instigated by control freak cops who place the rights of citizens second to their own egosand abuse their authority) but also in the mainstream media's increasingly desperate attacks on average Americans. For instance, this week MSNBC is set to air "Rise of the Radical Right"Â￾whichgroundlessly tries toportray civic minded citizens and peacefulprotesters as violent extremists.

Whilethe new media's power has increased, the old media's assaults have transformed from arrogant ridicule of bloggers and the grassroots leaders they support to all out smear campaigns. Since Rand Paul's primary victoryin Kentucky, for example, the media from both sides of the controlled paradigm have been in full battle mode, unsuccessfully trying from every angle to diminish his popularity by fraudulently implying that he's a racist and harping ontrivialities"¦all to little avail.

As the old media becomes moredesperate to regain its footing, the attacksâ€"whether they be physical, or in the form of sensationalized hit-piecesâ€" are going to increase and become more vicious.

Gandhi said, "First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win."Â￾

Obviously some members of the establishment have decided that if they're going to go down, they're going to do itkicking and screaming.

Perhaps Mr. Liberal should be more tolerant? No, racially-conscious whites are the only group that is forced to tolerate anything. This elderly clown wouldn't dare touch a non-white college student asking simple questions like; "Do you support the Obama agenda?"Â￾ He'd likely press his puckered lips against the nearest African read end"¦as would any good little Democrat, or Republican, or Independent. An entire career of Professional Afro-Pandering must be rubbing off on this gentle liberal"¦he most certainly has the "violence gene" so common in those who hail from the Dark Continent.
