This isn't new about boxing. I recall a few years back when Pacman lost the first fight to Eric Morales a Filipino worker stabbed a co-worker to death over taunts that Morales was better and about winning the office pool. Also many Russians consider Ukrainians as ethnic cousins. The Ukraine was part of Russia for 500 years.
