Got to check out Gonzaga for a little while today flipping back n forth from the 2 Bowl games...WOW! Corey Kispert was draining 3's left n right! 9 of 13 !! Ended up with 32 points..... And Drew Timme dominating scoring 29 points! Impressive 98 - 75 win over Virginia

Corey Kispert is trying to make a case to be the collegiate Player of the Year... teammates Drew Timme (White) and the freshman Suggs are also likely in the mix for All-American honors.

Iowa’s Luka Garza is fun to watch, and the only way to stop him is to keep him from getting the ball. today against Rutgers, he showed that may not even work. he’s an amazing player. i just wish his more physically gifted teammate Weiskamp had some of Garza’s toughness and aggression.

Buckeye Sharpshooter Justin Ahrens is having a good game against Illinois. 6'7 200 has some range, like to see him pick up his ppg as season goes on. Only at 6 on the season. Has 8 today 2 of 4 from deep, let it rip Justin!

The 5th Ranked Iowa Hawkeyes blewout Northwestern tonight. This team is so fun to watch. They are now 6-1 in the conf. and 12-2 overall. Luke Garza said it's the most unselfish team he has ever played on. Do you think it could
be possibly because most white guys aren't ball hogs? I played basketball for many years and hated to play pickup games with guys that never saw a shot they didn't like! Also these same guys rarely play defense. Iowa is an all white
starting 5 that buys into the team mentality it takes to win. If you guys haven't seen them play yet, then please watch a few games. They remind me of the Wisconsin Team that got to the National Championship Game with a primarily
all white roster. Also Belmont and Duke many years ago had similar type teams.

WL, so true....I watch every Iowa game....5-5 starters, plus most of the subs are lunch pail guys......Garza is a beast underneath and can shoot from 25 feet out.....Weiskamp, Frederick, Bohanon and C McCaffrey round out the starters.....The subs are almost as impressive as the starters....Nunge is big and can shoot....McCaffrey has a younger brother that is more agile and athletic and a freshman....Great team basketball......

Seton Hall senior PF Sandro Mamukelashvili has a great all-around game. I didn't realize he was a borderline pro prospect last year before opting to return for a final season. He put up 23 pts, 9 rebs, and 5 assists in a close loss to Villanova yesterday, but unfortunately bobbled a hail mary pass on the last play of the game. Despite being the undisputed star of the team, he's the only white player the Pirates have on scholarship. Look for first team Big East honors by the end of the year.

Colin Gillespie had 22 points and Cole Swider added 9 and 5 for the Wildcats, who were coming off a 27 day (?!?) covid layoff.

Enjoying Big Ten Coverage with Ben Brust, Rick Pizzo, and Mike DeCourcy! Rare to get good coverage plus I learned of Minnesota Center Liam Robbins! 7 foot transfer from Drake has been thriving at Minnesota. 13ppg 6rbg and 1apg!

Between Garza, Reuvers, Potter, Dickinson, and now Robbins. Big Ten is loaded with Blue Collar Big Men!

It was good to see Texas Tech bounce back with a win today. Mac McClung had 22 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals to lead the Red Raiders to the win! McClung continues to prove he belongs and he is really helping his nba draft status!

Wisconsin lost in a real uninspired outing against Penn State today. True Sophomore Tyler Wahl had a double double with 13 and 10 and added 2blks! Reuvers, Wisconsin's All Time Leader in Blocks has adjusted to his new role coming off the bench with 16pts! Davison added 8pts and 7reb but has been shooting horribly lately.

For Penn State Forward John Harrar was a force with 17pts and 8reb.

Gonzaga senior small forward Corey Kispert is absolutely killing it. after the Zags’ most recent game, he is now averaging over 20ppg on over 55% from the field, 45% from the 3, and 90% from the free throw line.

no player has averaged 20 ppg on 55/45/90 shooting in DI in the last 30 years. it’s likely never happened before.

as i predicted early in the season, we may have three White athletes named as first-team All-Americans and are virtually assured of having at least two (Luka Garza and Kispert). Drew Timme, also of Gonzaga, would be the third.

Iowa dropped another close game to Ohio State tonight. I seem to only tune in for their losses. It’s still amazing to me that a power conference team can get away with playing so many white athletes. Of course, they are still required to wear “Equality” in big print under their jersey numbers - maybe a bit of irony from the universe in this case.

Kyle Young and Justin Ahrens made key plays for the Buckeyes. They’ve been pleasant surprises this year for a team that hasn’t been very “diverse” in past seasons.
