Collective White guilt: White Liberals in Toronto raise $200K for Black family

Did anyone hear the latest news out of Toronto?

An unsupervised Black toddler, wearing underwear only left the apartment building where his family lived, into very cold temperatures and after wandering around, froze to death. Temperatures were around -30 Celsius.

Don't get me wrong, it is sad that a toddler died.

However, White Liberals in Toronto have went out of their way and donated more than 200,000$ to the Black family of the toddler. Presumably this donation is some sort of apology for what exactly? I can't help but think there would have been no donation if the family was any other race.

The donation was organized by an affluent White liberal man. Seemingly hundreds of White liberals gave donations. Initially the donations were meant to cover "funeral costs" but it seems now it's just being handed ove to the black family.

Probably on some level these White Liberals think their donation is a reparation for slavery, white privilege, and the disadvantaged of black families. This all despite the fact that slavery never existed in Canada.

There were also interviews on Canadian national news of White Liberals literally crying their eyes out over the death of a black child they never knew or even met once.

Do these White Liberals care as much about disadvantaged kids in Europe, Asia, or the Middle East? Probably not.

Will the White guilt ever end?

Exactly my sentiments. Nor would the story have made national news headlines for more than a week. Maybe a local news mention and that's it.

Even if the kid were Asian, Middle Eastern, or Hispanic, there wouldn't have been a donation.

There are kids being massacred in the Middle East. I don't see these White Liberals caring one iota about that. There are also many poor kids suffering in Europe. No reaction from the White Liberal Saviours.

Exactly! The parents and / or grandmother should be thrown in jail or at least shamed for being lousy parents. A child dying is sad but in a case like this surely avoidable. Giving money to these scumbags just encourages their neglect and bad parenting. It's similar to how welfare works.

Are criminal charges being filed against the parents? If leaving your kid unattended in a hot car is a felony then this should also be a felony. Speaking of hot cars there was a story almost a year ago of some black mother in Arizona leaving her kids in a hot car, she claimed she was at a job interview. Subsequently a bunch of white liberals raised >$100k for her, what did she spend it on? Designer clothes and she bought a music studio for her boyfriend so he could make rap albums. What's more it also came to light that several people offered this poor "mother" jobs after this occurred and she turned them all down.

No criminal charges are being filed or have even been discussed in the media. The media and public has portrayed the family as victims who are in need of financial assistance.

Actually it seems the toddler was under supervision from his grandmother at the time of his death. The grandmother has not been charged.
