- When: August 21, 2026, just hours before the team's season-opening game.
- What Happened: Caught on a school campus/Hudl camera, a frustrated Brubaker kicked a football off the ground while addressing a player during a non-contact drill. The ball struck the student athlete directly in the groin, causing him to collapse to the ground
