Sorry guys, but it seems that every years I lose interest in the CFL to which ever comes first (a Lumsden injury or the NFL pre-season)

But there are still great performances from white player up here worth noting :

QB Ricky Ray is the league 2nd passer with 2,584 yards and 13 tds

RB Jesse Lumsden is standing still at 6th with 443 yards, 5 tds and a 7.0 average despite missing the last 4 games with an ankle injury

RB Tre Smith is now 11th with 283 yards and 2 TDs

not a great year for WRs, Andy Fantuz is out for the season, Chris Bauman can't seem to see the field with hamilton, Brock Ralph is nowhere to be found, they don't seem to use him at edmonton, he's being actually outplayed by his little brother Brett, who is Calgary 3rd leading receiver. Jason Clermont is having a solid season, but took more big hits than any receiver I ever saw. Ben Cahoon is in his last year and Calvillo is not looking at him as much as past years. Toronto is actually playing more and more white WR this year as they are decimated by injury, Andre Talbot is his usual reliable self, and tall youngster Tyler Scott is making some plays. Weston Dressler is leading the league in yards per catch, along with Pat Woodcock of the ticats, but they only have 11 and 12 catches.

DE Brent Johnson is second in the league with 7 sacks
DT Dario Romero is 4th with 5.Edited by: Gi-15

Black analyst Duane Forde just called Etienne Boulay "arguably the most athletic safety in the league".

You're right Argos, there is talk in Montreal that Etienne could be moved to HB (the guy who cover the slotbacks), where he would take the place of an injured Randy Drew, he would then be the only white HB in the league.

Being white and Canadian, it seems odd that he would be allowed to play any DB position other than safety.

He's expected to make his return on Labour Day.

Running black QB Kerry Joseph has been benched in Toronto by new head coach Don Matthews in favor of Great White hope Cody Pickett from Washington.

Before Matthews' hiring, Toronto had a long tradition of playing only blacks at QB. Their last white first stringer was Kerwin Bell in 2001. Fortunately, Matthews is an nontraditional CFL coach who has historically favored whites at quarterback, who can actually throw the ball accurately, almost everywhere he has been.

Coincidentally, Matthews is the winningest coach in CFL history.Edited by: TorontoArgos

-Jesse Lumsden missed Friday night's game with a lingering ankle injury that has been bothering him all season. He currently sits 4th in the league with 586 yards with a 7.0 average, 5 TD and 1 Fumble.

-Weston Dressler had a monstrous game for the Roughriders last night. 6 catches for game-high 146 yards and did well on punt and kickoff returns also. He looked very quick and shifty and also displayed great hands. He has emerged as the Riders quarterbacks' favourite target. Highlights

-In the same game, White Rookie RB Stu Foord came into the game after an injury to starter Wes Cates. He also looked impressive, leaving the announcers in complete shock. 8 carries for 37 yards and 1 TD, as well as one catch which he took for 55 yards and the TD.

-Cody Pickett's first CFL start didn't go well as the Argos lost the game 34-4. Cody did a solid job getting the ball to his playmakers who ultimately couldnt do much with it. He was 19/34 193 yds 0 TD, 1 INT.

The Hamilton Ti-cats signed ex-Colt and former Saskatchewan "star" Kenton Keith. this will spell the end of both Tre Smith and Jesse Lumsden, as Tre will be either traded or cut and Jesse will be kept as a canadian mascot for the team.

Jesse won't be made the team mascot. Keith will be the change of pace runner imo. But if Jesse keeps getting injured every season, Keith may end up being the main guy, you are right. Jesse is too good to be a second teamer. As for Tre, if the Ti-Cats only keep 3 RBs, they will probably keep Cauley before him. But Tre will likely get a shot somewhere else after how he has played this season!

if Jesse wasn't so injury prone he would have a shot at NFL, with the season he could have in CFL...

Weston Dressler just went over a thousand yards receiving with an average per catch over 20 yards in only his first season!

Chris Getzlaf, brother of hockey star Ryan Getzlaf, is also starting to make some noise for the riders, with a near 100 yards game. Saskatchewan are going to have 3 very good white receivers when andy fantuz come back from his injury

Thanks for the update, TwentyTwo! Ball is one of the caste system poster boys, never given a chance in the NegroidFootballLeague in spite of record-setting in college, and solid skills. Even Jason Whitlock of the KC Star made a point about Ball being given a shot somewhere back when he was being "undrafted". And here we have scrub receivers like Bobby Wade being given endless chances, and dropping balls left and right, while Ball has to go to the CFL. I wish him the best and hope that he tears it up for the Blue Bombers!!
