I imagine that most of you never had the pleasure of watching Casey Combest tear up the high school scene on the national level many years ago. He still to this day has the fastest 60 meters ever run by a high school kid in the united states. The record will probably never be broken. For a skinny short kid, he was as explosive as anyone I ever saw. He also was a smoker which in addition to his slender build makes what he did even more incredible. What could have been? Interesting story, I had never heard of Casey Combest. From reading the articles, he apparently was a real moron who embraced the negro culture to his detriment. He probably would have been a first class embarrassment if he ever achieved success and notoriety beyond high school. That said, he certainly had incredible spring in his legs.

Was he a good guy? That would be a big no. He made alot of mistakes. More than most and it cost him a chance to make a career as a sprinter. He actually ran against Tyson Gay at one point from what I've heard many, many years ago.

The point I'm trying to make again by posting the video is that your skin color has very little to do with how fast you can run. This skinny teenager destroyed everyone in the short sprints. This is despite Casey not having the ideal build and very short legs. I know that there are many more Combest types out there just as there are Lemaitre types out there. White kids need to believe that they too can run fast. Combest probably could have challenged for the 60 meter world record of 6.39 if he hadn't of gotten into drugs and went to jail. His start was phenominal. He'd have surely set new indoor records. The posted article said he just recently started to lift weights. There's just no telling how far he could've gone.

He has to live with this the rest of his life. If only he had had some guidance. Maybe he was just too much of jerk to listen to anyone.

America has been so beaten down by this caste thing. Every now and then someone gets through, like Wariner. It really makes you wonder when we have to look to other places to find white sprinters.

You guys have seen the videos of Jeremy Bloom in college and in the Superstars competition. WTF was he doing skiing??
