I wouldn't mind having one of these. A 1957 Chevy Bel Air.

A Beauty! And a total classic!!

Had to revive the thread for this. You didn't have to be a kid in the 60's to want this total classic:

They were cool, but the old suspension and braking was said to cause some trouble in the filming takes and taping of certain scenes. You see most scenes of them driving straight ahead and not cornering or fast curves. However, they looked totally cool. I think there were three of them during the series.

Even the cars from the Munsters TV Show were cool. I saw one of them live at a car show about 6 years ago. It was at the Good Guys Auto Show.

Sweet!! Cops could have a field day in some states on citations for that thing.
And the Munsters' gold draperies and dingleballs, LOL!

Bumping this thread with some classic Drag Racing:

Something of interest about electric cars:

I know NASCAR is much more popular in the ussa but the speed and skill of open wheel Grand Prix racing is outstanding. Here's a classic clip:

Agree that open wheel racing is more fun to watch, and for those who can’t deal with the Euro-snobbery of formula 1, there is always my personal favorite-Indy car!

Season opens shortly with the Grand Prix of at Pete’s!

I'm a Lifetime Mopar Lover. For the Non Car Guys that means I have always loved Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler and Jeep. There
are so many Chevy and Ford Guys. While they have nice cars I always thought Mopars are the best. Check out this video. :)

Indy only allows a choice of Chevy or Honda engine on a Dallara chassis. Makes for a quite level playing field I think and some really exciting races with much more overtaking th an formula one. The tech in formula one and the glamour are undeniable but I think the actual racing is better in Indy car.

Formula one cars are approximately the same footprint as a ford expedition.

On a narrow track or road course that makes passing in corners virtually impossible and so it becomes a high speed parade in a lot of ways

Anyway I’d urge anyone with even a slight interest in Motorsport to check out the Indy car season. It’s very approachable

I'm sure everyone here is sick of the electric car push all out by the leaders all around the world. So far people
are rejecting them for the most part. People need to keep doing this. Having both is fine but don't force all of
humanity into your electric cars that can't even charge in the winter and are a huge fire hazard!

This Monday is a huge day for Dodge. They will be releasing a final edition verision of the Hellcat but it will probably
have a different name. This is the last year of the hemi sadly. This last car is rumored to have around 1000 hp from a gas
engine and do a high 8 second quarter mile. They have kept things very secret but on March 20th we shall see the car!

The thing is, it’s physically impossible for electric cars to make up much more than ten percent of total vehicles even if people wanted them and were willing to pay for them because the global mining industry isn’t capable of producing the necessary materials for them. At present they make up 3 percent or so. To get to ten would require mining infrastructure that is quite unrealistic (to say nothing of environmentally catastrophic).

It's official from Dodge as of today. They have the worlds fastest production vehicle with a warranty. The Dodge Demon C170 will
run on gas or alcohol(ethanol). When on ethanol it puts out 1025 horspower and 945lb feet torque. When it launches your putting
a full 2 G's on your body. Think of a jet airplane. This monster does the quarter mile in 8.91 seconds at 151 mph!
