The giants fans I know (many in number) love the guy. Giants fans want whites to play but they have been given few choices for the most part

I’m not a fan of the team but of course I’d like to see him do well
 
Hopefully Cam is back to one hundred percent and starts strong as this could turn out to be bad news for him:

he New York Giants are officially making a move at running back, signing former Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowler Najee Harris to a one-year deal, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Giants head coach John Harbaugh has plenty of experience facing off against Harris when he was leading the Baltimore Ravens. Now, he’ll have the chance to coach the former first-round draft pick.

Harris spent the 2025 season with the Los Angeles Chargers, but missed virtually the entire season after tearing his Achilles tendon in mid-September.

The former Alabama standout is still not back at 100% and has work to do to get back in football shape, but it’s a high-upside addition nonetheless for Big Blue.

After practice on Monday, Harbaugh addressed the New York Giants bringing in Harris for a closer look and unveiled his thoughts on the then-free agent running back.

“Yeah, I felt like the hair on the back of my neck stood up when I saw him over there, you know. It’s a big dude. So, yes, he’s coming back from the Achilles injury he had with my brother. And he looks good in the workout. You know, he’s not back 100%. He’s not in football shape yet. So, if we are able to do something, it’ll be a process,” Harbaugh told reporters.

“But that would be a guy, you know, that’s got a lot of experience. He’s a decorated vet. And with those guys, generally, you just have to kind of see where they’re at when you get them. And sometimes it works out great. Sometimes it’s just okay. And other times it doesn’t work out. But based on the workout, I would say we feel like he’s got a shot. We’ll just have to see how it goes.”

Of course, less than 24 hours later, the Giants would make the Harris decision official. It wasn’t much of a surprise to an insider like NorthJersey.com’s Art Stapleton.

Stapleton pointed out that Harris stuck around at practice on Monday, and he “wouldn’t be surprised” if he passed his physical.

“Najee Harris still here at Giants camp so wouldn’t be surprised if he signs once medicals check out,” Stapleton wrote on X.

Giants Running Back Position Outlook​

Now, as previously mentioned, Harris isn’t going to be able to hit the ground running with the New York Giants. He still needs to get back to 100% before he sees a serious role.

Luckily for the Giants, they have plenty of depth ahead of him that will be able to handle the load while Harris continues his Achilles rehab.

Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy are likely to split carries as the Giants’ lead running backs, although Tracy may be in the doghouse just a little bit after missing a pass-blocking assignment in New York’s preseason opener.

But the Giants also have another veteran who can take some of the burden off of Harris and Skattebo: Devin Singletary.

New York still has several other weak points along their roster, but running back isn’t one of them thanks to the Harris addition.

Stay healthy Cam. This is a huge make or break year. The league loves to caste aside white running backs along with most other positions. The running back and cornerbacks positions are the hardest anti white stereotypes. Go out there and take this job and cement your place
as the clear number 1 back for the Giants.
 
Agreed, it is on Cam’s shoulders to stay healthy. He is one of the very few white running backs even given a chance - he cannot afford to get hurt again. If that happens he will be written off like Hillis was quickly.
 
The Giants just signed Najee Harris, who like Skattebo was a durable workhorse who while far from a superstar gained a thousand yards year after year until his Achilles injury last year. You have John Harbaugh, a reliable (and mostly successful) Caste clown for the last 20 years who likely would never draft or play a White RB except when inheriting one as happened here. You can easily see a certain scenario playing out this season, if not with Harris if he's not ready yet, then with someone else.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I wonder just how aware Skattebo and Dart are, if at all, about the racial dynamics of the NFL. It's one thing to be extroverted and have some fun, something else altogether to be oblivious and step into time-honored ways of alienating coaches and black teammates, thus sabotaging your own career, esp. at running back.
 
I don’t believe that they’re aware at all, and it’s not their fault. They’ve been Supermen the entirety of their young lives and been taught by their coaches, and probably their fathers that if they work hard and excel on the field, they will succeed. It’s a hell of a thing for a great athlete to wrap his head around the fact that he’s being discriminated against because of his race, when so far everything in his life, has worked out pretty damn good.

I doubt Skattebo will change no matter what anybody tells him, but it would be nice if guys like Tom Brady or Aaron Rodger’s could pull Dart aside and impart some wisdom into him.

Good points as I don't think either would intentionally harm their careers. Playing in New York makes it doubly dangerous as it takes very little for the DWFs there to turn on a White athlete, including viciously. All it takes is for the media to get the ball rolling (already happening to a degree), and the "fans" will quickly follow suit.

As just one of many examples that can be cited, I'll never forget how nasty the New York golf fans were to Wyndham Clark as he was winning the U.S. Open for the second time this year at Shinnecock Hills, all because of a very minor incident at the previous year's Open when Clark let his temper get the better of him and the media still hasn't let him forget it and of course the idiot White fans who for many years ignored Tiger's club throwing, spitting, cursing, occasional cheating and other bad behavior hate Clark as well.
