From OregonLive.com:

According to Hass' agent, Scott Smith, Bush gave Pacific-10 Conference
rival Hass a strong endorsement in conversations with Saints coach Sean
Payton, director of player personnel Rick Mueller and general manager
Mickey Loomis, who is a University of Oregon graduate.

"He told them Mike was a heck of a player and a great guy, too," Smith
said.

I think that we need to give R.Bush some credit. It's amazing that it takes another star football player to see what is so obvious to all of us.How can a guy lead the nation in receiving by a landslide and almost not get drafted.Oh,I forgot he is white. He has the disease that the nfl hates.I hope he makes everyone throw up by having a hall of fame career.Go gettem Hass!!

Hey Steve Largent was a 6th rounder or there abouts. He was the greatest reciever until Jerry Rice came along.....

I highly doubt Bush and Hass will room together. I honestly can't see those two becoming friends and hanging out if ya know what I mean.

Jerry Rice was okay, he had two of the greatest QB's of all-time throwing to him ,Joe Montana and Steve Young. But the five best recievers of all-time were the White Brothers named Lance Alworth, Ray Berry, Fred Biletnikoff, Don Maynard and Elroy 'Crazy Legs' Hirsch!!

Rice also had softer defenses and the greatest designed passing offense of alltime.

Think we would have to conceed that Jerry Rice is more than OK, but I would put Lance Alworth up against any receiver in history, considering his combination of speed, leaping ability and hands. Also, the rules in those days allowed DB's to virtually beat the crap out of a receiver all the way down the field, so to dominate like he did was truly an accomplishment.

And again although these guys played before my time, great to see old # 13 (Maynard) of the Jets mentioned.....he was a burner back in the day when white receivers could be considered burners.....

Until the PC Jock Sniffers decided that WR was much to glamorus a position for White men we had some really good ones to cheer for-Tom Fears, Steve Largent, Dante Lavelli, Don Hutson, Sonny Randle, Bobby Joe Conrad and Gary Collins [also a great punter]. Plus the men already mentioned in the posts above.
