The guy that single handily tried to kill baseball is in the hall of fame. Don't worry hockey has similar hall nominees who had friends in the voting committee. Hockey has James Norris who had mafia ties who controlled boxing through the mob and a crooked corporation, but since he was the long time owner of the Red Wings that was ignored when he was voted into the hall of fame.

gag, vomit.

Baseball's become unwatchable to me and it was my favorite sport by far as a kid. I don't give Selig all the blame for ruining baseball, but he shrewdly took advantage of the trends toward greed, the corporatization of everything, the incredible decline of fundamentals in baseball, the free-fall decline in attention spans, and the huge push for hispanics and Asians to replace the long-standing fall-off of blacks in MLB.

My signature Selig Hall of Fame moment was when he ended the All Star Game in a tie in Milwaukee. Guy's a clown.

Mine too. He could have done something - rule that for that game only, previously used pitchers, position players, whatever, could come back into the game, something like that. What's a commissioner for if he can't make a ruling like that? Instead, he took the coward's way out with that stupid tie.
