Brock Bowers

He was one of the best players in college football as an 18-yr old freshman. He joined a powerhouse and outclassed the top SEC talent every week.

There was a crappy bit of "AI" software that calculated the top recorded speeds of players every week. Obviously, the straight-line dashes are gonna win - Brock got one of these on this play (I can't find that company or record mentioned, as I'm sure it's outdated and/or proprietary now). If I recall correctly, 20.6 MPH - not too shabby!

Here's highlights of Brock Bowers' rookie season, in which he set NFL records for a rookie tight end with 112 catches for 1,194 yards to go along with 5 TDs. Looking forward to his second season, with hopefully Jack Bech starting at WR and TE Michael Mayer still on the team.

I pretty much missed this guy during the season as the Raiders are painful for me to watch nowadays. Just goes to show how a great player can get lost when playing for a losing team. As great as George Kittle is, I'm thinking Bowers is already better. Great hands too.
