Brock Berlin signs with the Dolphins

Despite the amazing hoopla that surrounds its draft, the NFL is as unsuccessful as any other pro league when it comes to projecting who will be stars and who won't. There is an over-reliance on certain pure physical measurables and an under-reliance on intelligence and feel for the game. There is also the disgraceful racial discrimination, where whiteswho test well in physical measurables and/or intelligence still are seen as inferior potential pros as compared to blacks.


Beyond that there is a lot of luck and politics involved. There are undoubtedlya number of guysin the Arena League, NFL Europe, the CFL, and from smaller college programs who would make successful NFL players if given a fair opportunity, while there are guys drafted high who are such busts that they probably couldn't make it as a pro at any level.

Black Guy, evidently, you don't pay attention very well. I told you I've known the guy since he was in high school. He is a good Christian guy. I will use the religion card because it is valid. Reggie White caught helk from everyone when he dared to speak his religious views. If you think a religious guy doesn't take a bunch of crap off guys you're not living in reality. I've been there. It exists from high school on up. It definitely can affect your on the field performance.

As for veiled and even not so veiled racism, most of your posts exhibit that quality. If you think sports are all about money, think again, it's about politics to a large extent these days. Tell me people aren't against Christians in the U.S. now. You seem to be one of them. I know how most football players are, black or white doesn't matter. For the most part, they ridicule anyone who goes against the grain, like Christians. You can leap to whatever conclusions you wish, as you evidently are closed minded about most racial issues. I could care less about pleasing you. I'm writing the truth and whether you choose to believe it or not is up to you.

Evidently you dont read very well, I said in my post about him being christian I was just making a point to mention that he may not be a good christian. I didnt say he actually was. The point is heunderperformed as a QB at Miami and I am glad hes gone from there now GOOD RIDDANCE. PLENTY OF QBS have done more with less talent than Brock had around him.


Your point about you knowing him since high schoolis pointlessto me because I dont know him personally. I form my own judgements about people I dont let others make them for me.


And for the last time RELIGION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FOOTBALL. Sports is all about performance and if someone isnt performing dont tell me the team wont replace him because of a certain religion. That makes no sense.

Nobody, brought up religon being part of football until (bg) wined and cried and went on about religon and football. Brock is a good Christain and has a good moral character and values which can only help make him a better leader and thus a better QB.


I am sure many would say Ryan Leaf had better physical atributes than Brock, butbecause of his character Brock will most likely be a better QB.


Why mention that Brock is a Christain, because that is where he gets his character and good leadership skills. Skills that can turn a ok leader into a great leader.


Other Miami Qbs where good and some had bad teams, but most had good teams. Brock just happened to be at Miami when they have an overrated and underachieveing defense. Not a young defense but a lousy defense. A sloppy, lousy defense that did not allow Miami enough time to come back.


For all Canes I say thank God (who I believe is also a Christain) for Brock berlin "The Come back Kid"!!
