There is no way to avoid something this obvious -- Brady Quinn is the
best player in college football this season. Hands down. The
numbers are unbelievable, and he's doing it against the toughest slate
of opponents of any team in the country. And he's only a junior.

My guess is that Quinn would have been the Heisman frontrunner if ND had beaten SC.

AND YET, while Quinn was setting records and turning in one of the best
individual performances of the year, one of the broadcast-booth
caste-niks said that Vince Young --- Vince Young !</span>
-- probably wrapped up the Heisman with his scintillating 200-some-odd
yard performance against Texas Tech. My stomach lurched.

Let's not forget he has the 2nd best WR in college football only to Haas in Jeff Samardijiza. Quinn is from Columbus, Ohio so I don't know whether Ohio St just didn't offer him because he is surely better than our current QB Troy Smith.

The last 5 winners of the HT have been Whites. There is no way in hell that the powers that be will let this transgression go on.

At the time, Zwick was pegged to be the starter, so Quinn probably didn't want to be second string next to JZ.
