Boxing's Decentralized Nature

This is something I have thought about for a while, this is an observation not intended to flame or promote a sport. With Wilder likely stepping aside and Fury/AJ agreeing to a fight means we may see a undisputed white heavyweight champion. The lofty levels of white success in boxing during the 21st century, with whites at some points in-fact holding more belts than anyone else, is not something that should be possible according to popular narratives and is in stark contrast to the composition of for example; the NBA. Boxing's lack of a central authority is good for white athletes as it allows them to rise less obstructed even with resistance from media/networks, publications, writers, certain promoters etc... Boxing simply can't do as much about it, it must have pained them to show Fury beating on supreme athlete Wilder. Although boxing no doubt still suffers from manipulation such as Floyd having the judges and ref in his pocket among other things.

In MMA for example the UFC is the primary promotion and while it sees white success at the highest levels and whites have the most champions if you also include women, an equal split with men at the moment. It is still affected by the caste system to a greater extent than boxing, even unaware people will comment on Jones getting every free pass imaginable and catered to which I always felt had a racial undertone as well as a controversial decision with Dominick Reyes while GSP for example was never caught doping. I have seen some comments on CF hinting at a change when Dana White made a deal with a certain group as well but I do not know much about that. If MMA was as decentralized as boxing things would probably look a bit different. An article about the aforementioned Fury/AJ bout(s) below.

Never mind Fury seems to have reneged on the AJ fight for now, going to fight Wilder again.

Unless something changed recently, he contractually had to fight Wilder. Same thing for AJ. This could be a great fight as Fury is better and appears to be focused, while Joshua is the hero for BLM and is a low life drug dealer.

This is one reason why boxing is one of the last sports I still can enjoy somewhat. In basketball for example, you see college teams loaded with white players, but few make it to the NBA. Usually the ones that make it are so dominant that they just simply can't be passed up. But what about all the guys who would be average NBA players? It's easy to just pass them up for black players and the typical dwf will never even think to question it. The same thing happens in football too. Highschool players that break state records and never get looked at by colleges. There are systems in place that can artificially keep the the percentage of blacks and whites in football and basketball where they want them for the most part. Fortunately with boxing, if you truly are the best and can beat everyone, you will rise to the top. Boxing is also the last sport where people can kind of openly cheer for the fighter that is the same ethnicity as them.

I see what you're saying and agree for the most part, it's just that there are so many low life's that make the sport dirty. The only reason there are a lot of white champions is that the old Eastern European mob didn't put up with any crap from the west. There are hardly any white boxers from the west, Fury is an outlier.

I also get what you're saying. But of course Fury is an outlier, not many men can move like him and on top of that he's a giant!

Ireland has Jason Quigley and Olympian Michael Conlan as young stars.

Scotland has Josh Taylor another young prospect with some elite talent.

Even America has Caleb Plant who may be a bit wiggerish for some, has flashed potential.

Though again I get it, lacking the Star Power.

Boxing has a "new" weight division and it's called the Bridger weight division, this was all thought up by faux friend of boxing Mauricio Sulamin.

You could make up this clown show idea if you wanted. Why expand the Cruiserweight division when you can creater the Bridgerweight class and further confuse casual fans. It's going to cover 200 and a quarter pounds to 224 pounds.

Hopefully this division isn't adopted by other organizations and it flourishes. The Cruiserweight division doesn't need further watering down and I suspect only journeymen tweener types like Monte Barrett would try and win and defend this belt. https://fightnews.com/a-new-weight-division-bridgerweight/91603#more-91603

you are wrong , the UK has been a MAJOR reason for whites dominance in boxing in recent years. There's been two main reasons... The Ex Soviet Union fighters being able to turn pro AND the improvement of the UKs boxers.

Look at how many top boxers have come out of the UK in recent years - Joe Calzaghe, Carl Froch, Tyson Fury, Ricky Hatton, Carl Frampton, Josh Taylor, <<< ( all have been in the top 10 P4P) .Ricky Burns, Scott Harrison, Josh Warrington, Ryan Burnett, Billy Joe Saunders, Callum Smith,Jamie Mcdonnell etc etc etc

There's always plenty of current white UK world champions at any one time. There's 5 current world champions at the moment - Fury , Josh Taylor, Callum Smith, Saunders, Warrington.

The UK are ******* solid at boxing, a major force. The GB amateur Squad at the moment has two P4P type talents that will be turning pro after the Olympics in Pat Mccormack, and Peter McGrail. and loads of other top talents , The talent pool will not stop. Ireland also have a lot of talent.

But if you were to talk about hows theres been a decline in top boxers from Italy, France, Germany.. I would agree with that.
