The media has minimized and given little coverage to negro serial killers. A higher percentage of blacks become serial or spree killers than whites, but the media keeps them low-profile compared to the Bundys and Dahmers. Most of the victims of negro serial killers are women, usually white women.

Elton Manning Jackson murdered 12 homosexuals, seven of them white.

If Jackson were a white man, he'd have been very high-profile. They'd probably have made a movie about him like they did Dahmer, Gacy and Bundy. But it's not "politically correct" to portray a black man like that in a movie.

Carch., Interesting you singled out #32 (Elton Jackson).. I was actually gonna comment on this dude. He was only convicted of killing one guy right (?) If I'm remembering accurately, he was considered a suspect in the 11 other killings around Norfolk & Chesapeake. But I don't think those cases were ever cleared, or Jackson was charged in 'em (?). I'm not sure about the entire veracity of the list ^ that was compiled..

The negro Omar Ballard even confessed that he acted alone. The only DNA found at the crime scene was Ballard's, there was no real evidence against the four white sailors whatsoever, but they served 11 years in prison.

The three suspects who were convicted were members of the U.S. Air Force and were stationed at nearby Hills Air Force base. The authorities believed three others were involved but there was not enough evidence to charge them. They are likely still walking the streets as free men.

Two of the perpetrators were executed for the murders and the third was paroled from a robbery conviction. The NAACP fought the death sentences and demanded sentences of "life with the possibility of parole."

You know, here in Canada other people of colour immigrate here and face the same supposed "social injustices" as blacks do, yet still manage to become successful and avoid turning to criminality.

Besides domestic abuse which is sky high in the South Asian community, "real" crimes are also prevalent. Fraud, loan sharking and drug smuggling/dealing and even pimping is a problem too. Like the Chinese community many of these crimes are kept within the community so regular Canadians don't know about these problems. Only in BC because of the violent drug turf wars has this seedy underbelly been exposed.

Jake Bird (1901-1949), a transient, might have been one of the most prolific serial killers in the nation, although the case failed to capture the attention of the national press, according toHistoryLink.org. Bird was caught in Tacoma on October 30, 1947, after breaking in the home of Bertha Kludt and her daughter Beverly June Kludt and hacking them to death with an ax. He confessed to the killings, reportedly saying it was a burglary gone awry. On Nov. 26, 1947, following a three-day trial, he was convicted of first-degree murder. While on death row, he confessed to committing or being involved in 44 murders during his travels across the country. He was hanged at the Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla on July 15, 1949.

Anthony Sowell, 50, was arrested in 2009 after a woman complained she had been raped at his Cleveland home. Soon after the police went to his house to question him, they discovered 11 bodies buried in his backyard. The unemployed former U.S. Marine, who neighbors say sold scrap metal, reportedly lured his victims -- all of them black -- to his home with promises of alcohol and drugs, the police said. He then strangled and left their bodies in the house or buried them in the backyard,reports say.

Andre Crawford, 47, a Navy veteran who was accused of raping and killing women during the 1990s, was found guilty in 2009 of committing a series of rapes on Chicago's South Side. Crawford, who was dubbed the Englewood-area serial killer, was accused of stabbing, strangling and bludgeoning 11 drug addicts and prostitutes, and brutally assaulting a 12th victim who escaped after pretending to be dead. He reportedly killed the victims, smoked crack cocaine and returned to have sex with their corpses in the same abandoned buildings where some of their decayed bodies were found months later.

Lorenzo Gilyard reportedly murdered more women than Jack the Ripper during his time as s serial killer -- about 13 -- and no one paid attention. He began strangling prostitutes in his hometown of Kansas City, Mo., in 1977 at the age of 26, according to TruTV. He retired in 1993 at the age of 42, reports say. The only reason he was caught was that DNA evidence fell into the "lap of the city's homicide detectives.'' Three years later, he was convicted and sentenced to life prison without the possibility of parole.

Wayne Williams was believed to be one of the most prolific serial killers in the 1970s and 1980s. He is suspected of killing 27 black youths in the Atlanta area, mostly boys between the ages of 7 and 14, from October 1979 to May 1981. However, he was convicted only in the murders of two adults. The cases shook the local community at the time because of fears that racism diminished the strength and speed of law enforcement's response to the killings.

In the case of Carl Watts he had been given light sentences for numerous case of attacking women. If he had been given just sentencing lives may have been saved.


To give an example of how screwed up our court system is here's a ridiculous decision made by a Texas court. After he had been convicted in 1982 and began serving time, the Texas Court of Appeals ruled that he should have been informed that the bathtub and water he attempted to drown one of his victims in was considered a deadly weapon. This got him reclassified as a non-violent felon and eligible for early release.

Fortunately authorities were able to keep him in prison due to other crimes but but this is an example how dangerous, convicted criminals sometimes get released.

I wonder who the judges were who made that decision.

Samuel Little most prolific serial killer in US history, FBI says
