I hope the link works. If the professor had complied with the police officer then he would never have been arrested. The fact was he did look suspicious, and was questioned, and arrested after he displayed disorderly and unnessary conduct. The quote at the bottom of the article shows just how immature this product of affirmative action is.

The media is very good at distorting the facts and making it appear as though blacks have all the cards stacked against them. Blacks are so quick to accuse whitey of racism after the most innocent of ordeals. The police backed down, as usual, because of media heat and dropped the charges.

Blacks are all too often too stupid to realize that they are given more opportunities through affirmative action and in the NFL, NBA, and NCAA, and still believe that they make it there over whites because of being so much more naturally talented. It was not until recently that I realized poverty does not cause crime, but IQ does.

The reader responses are overwhelmingly in favor of Officer Crowley. I just signed up under SunsEdge and made a few comments. It's nice to read inspired thought from those other than at Castefootball. It's patently obvious that the majority opinion is never reflected by the MSM.

But there's another angle being ignored. The guy was actually using his sociological tools to fight against the police state. Which I can actually admire. I understand ALL the circumstances of the story, but what can I say. I'm just not a big fan of the police right now.

I think because the guy is black, it's easy for us to puff our chest about whites having a more civil behavior, and celebrate because the media is actually showing a clear example of the racial double standard that exists in the US. I am NOT saying that the officer was doing anything he wasn't supposed to be doing, but if this guy was white and threw a fit, what would we be focused on?

You and I usually see eye to eye, I believe, on most issues but not this one. This fiasco started because a neighbor saw two men breaking in through front door with a tire tool. Crowley shows up and asks the perfesser for ID (to establish he is, in fact, the home owner) and all hell breaks loose.

The only thing saving Crowley right now is his impeccable reputation. Even the President of the United States said Crowley's actions were stupid. The fact that Crowley has not yet been charged with civil rights violations is only because the guy has thus far had a stellar reputation in the community and on his department.

I'll not be surprised however, if someone from his childhood remembers him once uttering the dreaded N-word some time in the past, and Crowley will fall from grace, fired from his job and become a pariah in his community.

I haven't been following this story too closely but I read some things in the paper this morning that encouraged me. First, the Police department called out Pres. Obama for the comment he made about the officer "acting stupidly". Second, Officer Crowley stated that he would NEVER apologize for his actions.

Its refreshing when a white officers and a presumably white police department show some backbone and stand up against the liberals, minorities and Cultural Marxists. I applaud them both.

Maybe whites are finally getting tired of all the politically correct crap they have accepted for far too long.

I don't like how the defense of Crawley was his helping of Reggie Lewis. It should just be that his actions in this case were justified, and they were.

Officer Crawley responded to a reported breaking and entering and did his job, and will not apologize for the stupid accusations of racism coming from Obama or Gates. If anything, this officer is more on our side than anyone.

I'm hearing there is a tape of this, because the officer was smart enough to have the radio on the entire time. Good move. If Gates is lying his pristine career will be damaged and he's probably pissing his pants right now. I think Gates flipped out because his whole job revolves around race so that's the first thing on his mind. Even the officers black colleagues are backing him 100% saying in no way is this guy in particular a racist. Gates very well may be trying to sacrifice this man's career to simply make a point about racial profiling and it's going to blow up in his face.

It is just typical of what America has become. A white has to constantly watch his actions and words to not offend any "minorities." Even a police officer has to be extra careful when dealing with non-whites because of situations like this. A racist like Gates would like nothing more than to see this officer's reputation and career ruined.
