Taylor's death a grim reminder for us all
Jason Whitlock / FOXSports.com

There's a reason I call them the Black KKK. The pain, the fear and the destruction are all the same.
Someone who loved Sean Taylor is crying right now. The life they knew has been destroyed, an 18-month-old baby lost her father, and, if you're a black man living in America, you've been reminded once again that your life is in constant jeopardy of violent death.

The Black KKK claimed another victim, a high-profile professional football player with a checkered past this time.

No, we don't know for certain the circumstances surrounding Taylor's death. I could very well be proven wrong for engaging in this sort of aggressive speculation. But it's no different than if you saw a fat man fall to the ground clutching his chest. You'd assume a heart attack, and you'd know, no matter the cause, the man needed to lose weight.

Well, when shots are fired and a black man hits the pavement, there's every statistical reason to believe another black man pulled the trigger. That's not some negative, unfair stereotype. It's a reality we've been living with, tolerating and rationalizing for far too long.

When the traditional, white KKK lynched, terrorized and intimidated black folks at a slower rate than its modern-day dark-skinned replacement, at least we had the good sense to be outraged and in no mood to contemplate rationalizations or be fooled by distractions.

Our new millennium strategy is to pray the Black KKK goes away or ignores us. How's that working?

About as well as the attempt to shift attention away from this uniquely African-American crisis by focusing on an alleged injustice the white media allegedly perpetrated against Sean Taylor.

Within hours of his death, there was a story circulating that members of the black press were complaining that news outlets were disrespecting Taylor's victimhood by reporting on his troubled past

No disrespect to Taylor, but he controlled the way he would be remembered by the way he lived. His immature, undisciplined behavior with his employer, his run-ins with law enforcement, which included allegedly threatening a man with a loaded gun, and the fact a vehicle he owned was once sprayed with bullets are all pertinent details when you've been murdered.

Marcellus Wiley, a former NFL player, made the radio circuit Wednesday, singing the tune that athletes are targets. That was his explanation for the murders of Taylor and Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams and the armed robberies of NBA players Antoine Walker and Eddy Curry.

Really?

Let's cut through the bull(manure) and deal with reality. Black men are targets of black men. Period. Go check the coroner's office and talk with a police detective. These bullets aren't checking W-2s.

Rather than whine about white folks' insensitivity or reserve a special place of sorrow for rich athletes, we'd be better served mustering the kind of outrage and courage it took in the 1950s and 1960s to stop the white KKK from hanging black men from trees.

But we don't want to deal with ourselves. We take great joy in prescribing medicine to cure the hate in other people's hearts. Meanwhile, our self-hatred, on full display for the world to see, remains untreated, undiagnosed and unrepentant.

Our self-hatred has been set to music and reinforced by a pervasive culture that promotes a crab-in-barrel mentality.

You're damn straight I blame hip hop for playing a role in the genocide of American black men. When your leading causes of death and dysfunction are murder, ignorance and incarceration, there's no reason to give a free pass to a culture that celebrates murder, ignorance and incarceration.

Of course there are other catalysts, but until we recapture the minds of black youth, convince them that it's not OK to "super man dat ho" and end any and every dispute by "cocking on your bitch," nothing will change.

Does a Soulja Boy want an education?

HBO did a fascinating documentary on Little Rock Central High School, the Arkansas school that required the National Guard so that nine black kids could attend in the 1950s. Fifty years later, the school is one of the nation's best in terms of funding and educational opportunities. It's 60 percent black and located in a poor black community.

Watch the documentary and ask yourself why nine poor kids in the '50s risked their lives to get a good education and a thousand poor black kids today ignore the opportunity that is served to them on a platter.

Blame drugs, blame Ronald Reagan, blame George Bush, blame it on the rain or whatever. There's only one group of people who can change the rotten, anti-education, pro-violence culture our kids have adopted. We have to do it.

According to reports, Sean Taylor had difficulty breaking free from the unsavory characters he associated with during his youth.

The "keepin' it real" mantra of hip hop is in direct defiance to evolution. There's always someone ready to tell you you're selling out if you move away from the immature and dangerous activities you used to do, you're selling out if you speak proper English, embrace education, dress like a grown man, do anything mainstream.

The Black KKK is enforcing the same crippling standards as its parent organization. It wants to keep black men in their place â€â€￾ uneducated, outside the mainstream and six feet deep.

In all likelihood, the Black Klan and its mentality buried Sean Taylor, and any black man or boy reading this could be next.

Whitlock is blessed with an abundance of common sense and the courage to state it, something missing from just about all black and "white"public voicesthese days. Of course that has a lot to do with just who the system allows to have a voice, but I respect anyone who risks their livelihood by stating unpleasant truths in a time of endlessly repeated Big Lies by the MSM.

Whitlock is spot on these days. I enjoy seeing his commentaries on ESPN and his writings "regulary" posted at Caste Football.

Not all blacks are like this(too many as about 1/3 of young men are in the criminal system)Among the black ghetto class it could be the majority. I think even for a black writer this takes courage as he to could be a target for death threats and he will be scorned by the enablers....

I can't stand Jason Whitlock. I'm really tired of fake "conservatives" in
general, and this Affirmative Action hack is one of them.

Is everybody so hungry to see some kind of negative report on blacks in
the press that they will jump on anything? Did you read the article? At
first, Whitlock pretends he thinks that Taylor is responsible for his own
problems, then he does a 180 and makes him out to be a victim of the
"Black KKK". Hey, which is it? Is he a victim or not? Why did you pick the
KKK--because they were white? Why can't you write an article that
doesn't make crummy remarks about whites when you talk about black
problems? Of course, Whitlock had to throw in the forced integration of
white schools to make blacks look heroic, when in fact it was the white
elite that used blacks to destroy the public schools. It wasn't blacks that
hed the courage to integrate--integration came to whites at gunpoint.
Those black schools are failures precisely because they are filled with
minorities who don't want to learn. What that has to do with a gang
shooting I don't know.

Hey Whitlock, you really believe it's some kind of big criminal conspiracy
that gang members are being shot? Does the "Black KKK" really hold
meetings to find the "successful" black men and kill them?

You know, this article is really one big whitewash. Its the kind of article
written to deny the reality that a lot of NFL and NBA players are members
of organized crime. Its just a new twist on the old line that its the
"streets" that are responsible for black problems.

Maybe if Whitlock were to actually write an article on the situation that
were truthful, he would call a spade a spade and tell the public that the
NFL and NBA are full of organized criminals that participated in drug
dealing, larceny, car theft, financial fraud, illegal gambling, rapes,
assualts, and murders, etc. I wonder if Whitlock will raise the idea that
maybe some of Taylor"s criminal buddies wanted him to throw a game or
two so they could make a lot of money on bets--let a receiver go for a TD
by missing a tackle, and so on. I bet this happens a LOT more than
people realize.

When you couple this type of stuff with the big money the NFL and NBA
are bringing in, and the talk about the corrupt refs, obvious blown calls,
etc, it might raise some other troubling points that Jason Whitlock is
being paid to hide. Think a bit more critically about what you are reading
guys. I think the press is just one big shell game meant to keep our eyes
off of the real truth that professional sports has been infliltrated
completely by organized crime, and that gangland shootings are now
occurring with some frequency in these areas. Time to get the paid-off
black snowblower out!My two cents.

What's even more surprising is that the media is calling this a 'random' killing. Does anybody think maybe the NFL put a little pressure on the PD to keep a lid on this? Can't have everybody thinking the NFL is just another version of the thug-ridden NBA, now can we? Especially not with Goodell and his 'zero tolerance policy.'

I was thinking the same since this happened. I feel it had something to do with Taylors past. He was a trouble maker. Now he will be a hero.

I was amazed at how many myspacers instantly put up "RIP Sean Taylor" bulletins and even changed their pictures to his "in honor" of his life. What sheeple the masses really are.

He assumed the killers were black what would happen if a white male sports wienie had written that? Besides I want a pro-white article to come out over these mild chastisements of blacks.

The question didn't leave me speechless, but it certainly made me queasy.

Around 9 a.m. Tuesday, shortly after I read that Sean Taylor was dead, a Washington, D.C., radio station called and wanted to discuss what I knew about the Taylor story. Since I had lived in Miami for 15 years, the station figured I would have some perspective.

Then came the first question. "How close is Taylor's house where he was killed to the 'hood?" the host asked.

That question is about far more than geography; it's flat-out racist. Implicit is that Taylor, who by most accounts grew up in a mostly middle-class neighborhood, was killed by someone poor, someone angry.

Someone black. On Friday, The Miami Herald reported that three men, including two teenagers, were being questioned in Fort Myers, Fla., in connection with the murder. There was no other information about the men in the report, other than they may have inadvertently found out about Taylor from someone else.

For geography's sake, Fort Myers is about 100 miles from Taylor's house in Palmetto Bay, a suburb of Miami. It could also mean that Taylor was killed for a color more powerful in this country than black or white - green.

All of that has yet to be determined. It would be nice if the media could be patient as the police investigation unfolds.

The coverage of the tragedy has produced some other, more subtle forms of racist discussion. Columnists have written that Taylor was unable to escape his upbringing, ignoring the fact that his father is a police chief and he attended an elite prep school in South Miami.

There has been regurgitation of Taylor's run-ins with the law and his seven fines during his NFL career, trying to create a connection between his moments as an angry young man and his violent death. While Taylor's history is part of his life story, connecting it directly to his death is speculative.

Before the conversation gets too loud - the shrill anger of accusation drowning out the chance for constructive thought - the implicit and explicit is coming from both white and black voices. It's coming from the media and from the general public simultaneously.

Take the column from Jason Whitlock on FOXSports.com.

"The Black KKK claimed another victim, a high-profile professional football player with a checkered past this time," Whitlock wrote, suggesting that Taylor was killed by another black man, after adding a minimal disclaimer that he could be wrong. As of Friday morning, Miami police still had no strong sense of who killed Taylor, other than to say they believed it was a random crime.

While I like a lot of what Whitlock, a black man who also works for the Kansas City Star, has written and said in recent years, I winced when I read the beginning of his column. It's powerful, it's strong, it makes you think. But if it's wrong, it's dangerous.

Likewise, there is the opinion expressed by Arizona Cardinals cornerback Antrel Rolle, a friend of Taylor from childhood and a former teammate at the University of Miami. Rolle told The Associated Press he believes Taylor's death was a planned attack.

"This was not the first incident," Rolle said. "They've been targeting him for three years now.... He didn't really say too much, but I know he lived his life pretty much scared every day of his life when he was down in Miami because those people were targeting him. At least he's got peace now."

While Rolle clearly has a unique insight, one he should share with police, I have two words that should put perspective on what being wrong can mean: Duke lacrosse.

When that story broke, speculation and presumption were even stronger. The Duke athletes accused of rape were convicted in the court of public opinion. TV host Nancy Grace referred to the athletes as the "Duke rapists."

Ultimately, it was all wrong. The case led to the self-destruction of the prosecutor and an eroding of trust in the judicial system. All the speculation in the reports led to a further erosion of trust in the media.

Taylor's killing has the potential to be the same. Media speculation will create more blame on a group already profiled as violent and fearsome, further feeding the frenzy that divides our culture more than binding it.

Some people in the University of Miami football fraternity have cast suspicion upon Taylor's girlfriend, Jackie Garcia, who has a daughter with Taylor and had dated him since high school.

For now, however, it's best if the speculation ceases because guessing can be too damaging on too many levels. </TD></TR></T></T></TABLE>Edited by: Bart

These guys are all hypocrites, imo. They lament the passing of Sean Taylor because he is famous, but otherwise say very little about the rampant crime in the black 'community.'

Sean Taylor is being lauded as some kind of hero because he was allegedly trying to 'change his ways.' Same guy who beat his girlfriend so bad in college that she has nerve damage to this day, among many other crimes.

This quote is priceless:

There has been regurgitation of Taylor's run-ins with the law and his seven fines during his NFL career, trying to create a connection between his moments as an angry young man and his violent death. While Taylor's history is part of his life story, connecting it directly to his death is speculative.

Sure, it's pure speculation! That's why police never question a victim's known associates, where he hung out, whether he was using drugs or had in the past, or if he has ever been convicted of a crime, etc. Pure speculation, and racism at it's worst! The fact is most people ARE murdered by someone they know, drive by shootings in the ghetto not withstanding.

And then Cole decides to involve himself in a bit of speculation and just happens to note that 'some people' are saying that Taylor's white Hispanic girlfriend was behind the murder. Well, it may ease the black man's conscience if the girlfriend is behind it, but the truth is birds of a feather flock together, and she wouldn't be with him if she wasn't of his ilk, no matter what color her skin is.

This story gets stranger and stranger the more I look into it.

First, you should know about Taylor's run-in with the law a couple of
years previous (from the Associated Press):

"In 2005, he was accused of pointing a gun during a fight over all-terrain
vehicles near his Miami home, a legal battle that ended a year later when
he pleaded no contest to two misdemeanors and was sentenced to
probation."

His lawyer for the trial is a well-known and well-connected criminal
defense attorney for corrupt government officials and cops, Richard
Sharpstein, who is described as a "family friend" (AP):

"Family friend Richard Sharpstein said at least one of the suspects was at
Taylor's house when his sister recently had a party, but that Taylor did
not know the men.

'It's a burglary, and they targeted him for his wealth,' said Sharpstein,
who's Taylor's former attorney. 'It makes his death even more pathetic
unnecessary and just, actually disgusting.'"

Now, the real pile of you-know-what (AP):

"Early Monday, Taylor and longtime girlfriend, Jackie Garcia, were
awakened by loud noises at Taylor's home in an affluent Miami suburb,
according to family friend Richard Sharpstein. Taylor grabbed a machete
he keeps in the bedroom for protection, Sharpstein said, then someone
broke through the bedroom door and fired two shots, one missing and
one hitting Taylor. Neither the couple's 18-month-old daughter, also
named Jackie, nor Garcia were injured in the attack."

So a guy who carries a gun around in his car doesn't have one at home?
Just a "machete under his bed"? Sure, I believe that. No guns. And more
(CNN):

"Police are now telling us that, in fact, they are treating this as a homicide
investigation. That investigators at the scene, who have been there for the
last 24 hours, are saying that "there are clear signs of forced entry." They
are also trying to find out if there is any connection between what
happened early yesterday morning and a break-in at Taylor's house eight
days ago.

No one was home at the time of the break-in eight days ago but there
were apparently, according to his attorney Richard Sharpstein, some
items taken. Perhaps jewelry. And there was also a kitchen knife left on
the bed during that break-in where drawers were gone through, a safe,
many rooms ransacked."

And (Washington Post): "Taylor's fiancee tried to call police from the
house line, only to discover that the line had been cut. She had to use her
cellphone to call 911", "Despite the break-in a week ago, there was no
security system at Taylor's house, according to Emory Williams, a cousin
of Taylor's."

If there was no security system at his house (HIGHLY unlikely) then how
did anyone find out about the previous break-in If nobody was at home?
How believeable is it that Taylor would have no security system at his
house if he were not ther for long stretches of time? Why would there be
no security system installed after the first break in? Taylor's dad is a
police chief--does anyone think that he might have advised his son on
security? Why did the burglars not shoot Taylor's girlfriend? The reports
of the incident say that they were in the bedroom together and the
bedroom door was broken down--why leave her to identify the burglars?
Why was she not tied up and burglary completed, if the burglars were
wearing masks? Why wasn't Taylor tied up? How likely is it that the
phone lines in this wealthy area were above ground and could actually be
cut? How long does it take to make a cell phone call? If there really was a
security system, then tripping it would have automatically alerted the
police. How likely is it that it was not turned on after the previous break-
in?

So am I a conspiracy nut? Well, think for yourself (AP):

"Authorities from Miami-Dade Police and the federal Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
were in and out of Taylor's home
Tuesday. Police were seen taking a computer from Taylor's home."

What the hell is the ATF doing there if there were no guns in the house?
What federal concern is there about this break-in, that should be handled
by the local cops? If it was a random burglary, why was Taylor's computer
taken by the cops? And why is Richard Sharpstein, who defends corrupt
politicians and cops, all over the place on this story? We all know criminal
lawyers who are well-connected to government corruption know where all
the skeletons are buried, and are usually confidants and in on the
corruption, like mob lawyers (Scooter Libby). What the hell is going on
here?

To me it looks like an organized crime hit disguised as a burglary. The
girlfriend was in on it. And the level of the players involved says its not
just petty drug or burglary case. If it was a mob hit, those four guys ain't
the killers, I guarantee it.

Black professional athletes (and former street criminals and gang
members) involved in organized crime and illegal gambling schemes,
anyone?Edited by: PitBull

Facinating stuff Pitbull. It's a weird case. I read that the phone lines actually were NOT cut but the phone was out (at least that's the latest story). The BTF thing is weird although the Feds seem to show up anytime there is any major publicity to garner. I'm not surprised he didn't have a gun or turn on his security system, look who we're talking about here. The computer being taken is also strange.

Taylor is a guy who has led the league in missed tackles, it would be easy for him to give up a couple of TD's to help the bookies. Very strange.

This is so true. I was thumbing through a Sports Illustrated yesterday and one of the articles was about Vick and how he was a victim of his old neighborhood. I gotta hand it to these afro-philiacs they are quite good at creating knee-jerk rationalizations in response to black pathology.

This "black KKK" that Whitlock speaks of must be a powerful and ubiquitous force indeed as it seems they are able to follow black people to every continent.

I appreciate Whitlock at least putting forth the effort in trying to corral his people but the refernces to the KKK are as Pitbull said, just eyewash. Culture is a product of genetics Mr. Whitlock not the other way around. Do sties make pigs?

Tartan Pride,

It is not just a matter of being an "idiot" as you say. It is a matter of being violent and sociopathic. Of course we have our own derelicts that's not the issue. The issue is, as always, who is more likely to be a derelict. Blacks are significantly more likely to engage in criminal behavior than whites and astronomically more likely than Asians. This pattern holds even when controlling for income.

Yes, I'm aware of the statistics. If you asked me if I think that white
people are, on average, a little smarter than blacks, I would say yes. I
would also say that whites conrol their temper better than blacks, for
whatever reason. However, let's be honest, the world is one huge
criminal enterprise. Anything who has a lot of stuff, stole it from
someone else. I am no bleeding heart liberal, but let's be honest for one
second; there is not a black in Compton who can hold a candle to the
Bush crime family.

That's why sometimes on websites such as this, I feel a guy at a formal
dinner party wearing a tuxedo with blue shoes. For whatever reason,
blacks are what they are, but I'll tell you, if the global elites came up with
a race based disease that wiped 90% of the blacks off the planet
tomorrow, they would just proceed to turn most of us into ******s.

I was born and raised in rural Indiana, northern stronghold of the KKK.
Let me tell you buddy, my family has not exactly set the world on fire. I
have uncles, cousins and even my brother who have had state-sponsored
vacations, and I don't by a lot of this IQ is destiny stuff because if you are
talking about blacks, you're talking about a lot of poor whites like me
also.

So to answer your question, of course not every white in a trailer park is
meth addicted, but every white in a trailer park is poor, and a lot of them
are uneducated and on welfare and they've been that way since the
1800's. As a Scott, understand that everything white people say about
blacks, they said about Scotts and Irish at one time.

The problem, it seems, is not that you are poor. You have a POOR understanding, though.

Rather than destroying blacks, the global elite will use them to destroy Whites and the Western culture they created. That's right, they are WEAPONS. Do you want me to talk sweet to them?

These weapons and their alien cultures can't be overlooked. I think that's what the global elite (one worlder's) would want; they would want us to be blind to the implications of race, culture, nature and soil.

Have you not seen the innate intelligence in the eyes of little White children? They possess a truly unique creativity at such a young age.

Of course, every White person doesn't have the same intelligence as each other, so how can every race which derive from different continents be equal?

The only way it could be remotely possible is by poisoning the White bloodline with the blood of the dark races. A people and great culture can permanently disappear if they're not conscious of the power in their blood -- and so they refuse to protect and defend it at all costs.

The global elite would then have less to worry about. Because, when you think about organizational abilities, who has the best chance to defeat the global elite: Whites or Blacks or Mulattos?

I think the answer is obvious. Why should I shy away from race, culture and intelligence/behavior when the global elite are fully aware of the implications of what they have set up?

You're thinking of the Scotch-Irish, who were Scots in Ulster that moved to the US. They're what people think of when 'poor white trash' is tossed around. Funnily enough, plenty of them are successful and escaped their Appalachian roots. My mother's family did well enough for being 'poor white trash' in North Carolina.

Just cause they're white doesn't mean I don't make Polish or Irish or Italian jokes either. My advice is to not live down to the stereotype, Tartan Pride.
