Believe it or not, J.B. is capable of error! So am I on occasion. But I think you'll find perusing this site that our "batting average" is pretty high, certainly much higher than Barry Bonds' on-base percentage

BTW, I had that 1961 Bruton card in my voluminous collection at one time. Unfortunately I sold my beloved cards 20 years ago to help pay for my post-graduate degree. Edited by: Don Wassall

Billy Bruton was a black man who had played in the Negro Leagues before signing with the Braves. I remember during my childhood seeing him play on the Game Of The Week many times. Bruton played for the Milwaukee Braves from 1953-60 and the Detroit Tigers from 1961-64.
