Compare this to the fact that, over all, only 3 of the top 10 HR leaders in MLB are white. Compare this to the fact that only 18 of the top 40 are white. Compare this to the fact that in 2000 only 12 of the top 40 HR hitters were white. Here we see that things are looking brighter.



Side note. 7 of the top ten rookies in terms of batting average are white. Hunter Pence not only leads all rookies but now leads the ENTIRE National League....

Who are theybesides Josh Hamilton?
 
Eric Byrnes was snubbed by the Hispanic All-Star Game Tuesday (we all know why). Here's some comments from Yahoo fantasy baseball:

Recommendation: Byrnes was understandably disappointed not to be named to the National League All-Star roster. Through Saturday, he was hitting .312 with 14 homers, 49 RBI and 17 steals. Few outfielders in the senior circuit can offer such a heady blend of speed and power.

Oh yeah, but we're just looking for rookies. So far OC football seems correct, we just need his source.

Eric Byrnes must be having a real breakout season. I used to watch him a fair amount when he played for Oakland and he was just adequate. Now, he is hitting a very robust .306. It would be great to have a white 30/30 man.
