Bears to trade for McNabb?!?

Here's a "glaring" example of the media's anti-white attitudes. The Bears biggest weakness is Grossman? Why is that? And why McNabb a frequently injured guy who choked in his one shot at a Superbowl?

Grossman takes the Bears to a Superbowl but it's not enough. No one says Steve McNair is the Ravens "glaring weakness" of that Vick is the Falcons weakness. Wonder why?

Was the recent drafting of quarterback Kevin Kolb a sign that the Philadelphia Eagles might trade Donovan McNabb before the 2007 season?

That's one theory, anyway. As for a possible destination, the Chicago Bears are ready to win the Super Bowl. They might have won it last year except for a glaring weakness at quarterback.

The key to this scenario is Bears linebacker Lance Briggs, who has said publicly that he will never play for Chicago again and who refused to report to minicamp on Friday.

Briggs is, arguably, the best weakside linebacker in the game and is only 26. He could help Philly rebuild its defense while Kolb gets ready to take control of the offense.

euhm, McNabb play a good SB I think.. 30 completions for 357 yards and 3 TD that's good.

He lost, just like Grossman.

And he choked. He was puking in the huddle during their last possesion and someone else had to call the plays. Who would want this guy to be in that position again?

It has always been rare for a team to trade it's starting QB unless he is washed up, has arm trouble, or like McNabb, is somewhat injury prone. The Eagles would probably want a lot for him.

The Eagles and Redskins traded Sonny Jurgensen and Norm Snead for each other in 1964. At the time, it was said to be a deal that was "best for all concerned." Jurgrnsen was considered the best pure passer in the game, but was unpopular in Philadelphia and was about five years older than Snead.

The LA Rams unloaded a sore-armed Roman Gabriel to the Eagles in 1973 for a bundle of high draft choices. The same year, the Rams got John Hadl for not much. Hadl had a good year in 1973, but HIS arm went bad. The Rams then dumped Hadl to the Packers in 1974 for draft choices.

The Rams obtained a lot of good players for the choices obtained in the Gabriel and Hadl trades, but QB turned out to be the weakness of the 70's LA Rams. They went through James Harris, Ron Jaworski, Pat Haden, and Vince Ferragamo for the rest of the decade.

I wouldn't trade McNabb for Briggs, and I'm not what you'd call a fan of McNabb, either. There are plenty of worse quarterbacks in the league than McNabb, black and white, and to trade him for a linebacker without a proven replacement would be ridiculous.

But I do see jaxvid's point that the media wanted to pin the Bear's entire loss in the Super Bowl on Rex Grossman. I'm sure most here will remember how there was nothing discussed more by the talking heads after the Super Bowl than about how Grossman was solely responsible for their loss and shouldn't even play in the NFL anymore.

It wont happen, but i would rather have McNabb than Grossman leading my team, he is the better QB hands down.
