its test rugby in the southern hemisphere now. Despite the number of Maoris and Polynesians in club rugby, the all blacks are still maintaining to be mostly white. 6 national rugby is my favorite too, though its a long wait since it starts in Feb. Still can't wait for a russia vs georgia rugby game in the euro cup!

I rarely watch rugby, but I’ve alotta respect for the players. It seems to be a tougher sport than American football.

New Zealand, far and away the best team, and, full of white players. Rugby is more global so you get a wide spread, but white Athletes get their chance to shine..

As a matter of fact, I did catch a glimpse the other day. I had no interest in watching the NFL so I gave it a shot. I have to say I enjoyed it, though I don't understand all the rules. Sean89, if you can fill me in on some of the rules and how it's played, I may tune in more often.
Welcome to CF, BTW!

Thanks Carolina Speed.

Rugby Union Basics are -

Scoring - 5 points for a Try(Touchdown) 2 points for the resulting kick(Extra Point). Ball must be touched down past the line, can't just run through the end line.

General Play -

Ball must be thrown back, no forward passes

When a player goes to ground, opposition may try to get the ball back, once they stay on their feet. Player with the ball must release it back to his team, he can't just lay on the ground and hold on for dear life.. So basically when you make a run, it's important to have team mates that hold off opposition and let you place the ball for the scrum half(player who generally picks the ball up and passes it first, starting another phase of attack)

It can be confusing in some aspects. Like anything, the more you watch, the more you will pick up. Rugby Union is all about international games, as opposed to club matches like soccer for e.g
