That's true,but I was speaking generally.
Kanu was 50 while still at Arsenal and everybody knew it.

It's a joke that Chelsea signed Eto'o. They have a young white English striker that is tearing up the lower leagues by the name of Bamford. I doubt he will ever get a chance to play for chelsea though.

a player like that has no use in soccer except youth teams
he most likely has zero skills and is just in their team for his physique

Good rule of thumb: If a guy is more muscular and ripped than just about everyone in the world was 60 years ago, he's taking something.

Regardless of age why even sign people like that? Isn't soccer a cardio sport? That guys body must burn through insane amounts of energy just to maintain itself.

in soccer i have seen every kind of body turn successfull, from muscular guys like crisitano ronaldo to skinny-fat guys like messi, with also rooney who is big bug doesn't look like he could run very long distances

the thing that i never saw was a world class black player

in the youth teams, they are way overrepresented
and i think that this picture shows why
but then in senior teams they are no longer there

today there was the youth equivalent of the champions league, and barcelona won with 5 coal-black africans
it's even hard to find a team with 5 coal-black africans in the very black and very bad french league
what a contrast with the great footballers barcelona has produced

fabrice olinga is one of those "young" players from spain that flopped
he was the youngest ever goalscorer of the spanish league but now he's in belgium after failing in spain

like i said if you say that you were born in europe (even if you were actually born back in africa 1 year earlier, then moved to europe with your parents) then they can't send you back and your parents can stay in europe too
so their age is often fake when they are in this case
even if it's by a few months, it will make a big difference
players born at the beginning of the year tend to dominate their age category, and it's more difficult for guys born at the end of the year

This has to be some kind of joke. They should just scrap pro youth teams and sign players when they're 17/18. At that point everyone should have matured and will be on a equal playing field.

Admittedly, I don't know much about soccer, but just came across this thread. We've talked about this before on football threads.

When my sons were coming up in middle school they were 12-13 years old and found out that a lot of the black kids were 15, still in middle school. I guess they fail 1 or 2 grades in elementary school. This happens all the time. Fortunately for them, my sons, I helped them train for wrestling and football and were still able to handle most if not all older black kids.

However, that's not the case for most white kids, most play by the rules and come up grade wise according to their age and are at a disadvantage early on. 15 year old middle school black kids get a reputation for being good and it carries on through high school. Some of these guys are almost 20 years old when they're done with high school. One of my sons graduated HS at 17 years old. Both my sons were all-state, one in wrestling and the other in football. You have to train them early to be good athletes and not to take any crap from older and intimidating black kids.

With all that being said, even some white parents are holding their children back a grade or 2 thinking this will give their child an advantage both academically and athletically. UNC Chapel Hill BB player and NBA pro, Tyler Hanbrough was 16 years old his freshmen year in HS and turned 20 years old his freshmen year in college.

I thought they checked the teeth but the article is saying they did an MRI scan. The whole article doesn't add up though. It says 60 man squad (which seems unusual) then it say 26 where caught and they are recalling 24 players from the original squad.
Let's see if the players that are signed on for European youth clubs get their contracts cancelled.

Well, that's how they win all these U-15, U-17, U-19 titles... and after these championships the media is full of praise for the "rising tide of African Football", "African talents" etc. Then the same "stellar" teams cannot get past quarterfinals (in a good year) during the real World Cup.
