Anna Rawson is a young Australian golfer who also does some modeling. She slipped up the other day and made an honest observation, which of course is a no-no in "Western" countries if it touches upon certain subjects:

In an interview on Adelaide radio station 5AA with AFL identity Graham Cornes on Wednesday night, the 27-year-old South Australian, who now lives in Los Angeles suburb of Bel Air, raised the old issue of lesbianism in women's professional golf.

"The tour has got so much better with so many young stars and great players. But the mentality, unfortunately, amongst the media and the industry hasn't changed," Rawson said.

"They still think we're at 25 years ago, you know, when the tour was full of, you know, a lot of dykes and unattractive females that nobody wanted to watch. It's totally changed but they still won't give us TV time."

ThePTB immediately jumped all over Rawson, who made a weepy apology the next day that wasn't accepted by the champions of "tolerance," given that homosexuals are, like blacks, jews and feminists, not allowed to be criticized in "free" countries.

It likely won't make much of a continuing splash in this country, but yet another public figure has learned the hard way how things work.

Good looking, but she says people only watch women's golf to look at good looking women and not for the sport itself. Nobody watches the NFl for looks. But on the other hand, I'll stop to watch the women's beach volley ball on tv, but flip right past if the men are playing.
