For any, I know there are a lot of you, Ron Paul watchers; Dr. Paul is predicting the dollar will crash with the record number of dollars being pumped out by the Fed Reserve. The record amounts of money being pumped through is vividly evident through all of the bailouts that were passed and now the economic "stimulous" b.s. The dollar will soon be meaningless and have no value as there will be too much of it in supply. I'm going with 2010 as my guess, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it did indeed happen this year. Viva Amero!

I'm going to be optimistic and say sometime after 2010. I think of a number of factors, some more related than others, in making my choice. I could definitely be wrong, but I do believe it is almost inevitable at this point.

We could have accelerating deflation for a while yet. This is the first time in my lifetime that the price of many things is consistently decreasing.

Just about everyone who was living beyond their means by going heavily in debt looks to be screwed at this point. No one knows what's coming down the road because we're in uncharted territory. The only thing we can do is be as knowledgeable and prepared on a personal and family level as possible while also continuing to spread the truth to all those with eyes to see and ears to hear.

It's coming next year as a way to supposedly "save us from depression." Obama will probably try it out by paying his civilian conscripts with it.

I agree with you.The economy has to turn upwards for a while enabling Obama to take the credit. The more I think about this recession/deprssion the more I feel it is totally contrived. The money supply was turned off causing all sorts of havoc. Congress has given the architects on Wall Street all the money they want to buy up all the depressed stocks. Just a huge transfer of wealth.

Remember when the Soviet Union was going belly up? Henry Kissinger, Lawrence Eagleberger, and the BOYZ were telling us we had better bail out the Kremlin or a WORSE disaster would occur. What was the end result? The shysterhood in Russia took all the cash and parsed up the whole country among themselves. The Russian Oligarchs bought everything dirt cheap. Do an intenet search to find out their ethnicity. Not a cossack among them.

I appreciate the plugs, Labman.

BTW, the new issue is hot off the presses and may be the best one yet. Lots of hard-hitting information by a great array of writers. It alsohas one of Joe Kowalski's pieces in it. New subscribers can sign up for just $19 for one year over at anu.org.

I noticed this on everything but food from the chain groceries. I guess the corporate number crunchers know that even if you go on unemployment or worse welfare you still have to eat.

I think for political reasons they'll still call it the American dollar but it will basically be the Amero.

Food is a great example of how things that maintained their demand increased during this so-called deflationary period. Sure prices have gone down in a lot of things like housing, oil, copper etc, but thats not really a reflection of inflation as much as it is supply and demand. If we had the same depressed demand for oil/gas that we have now in say like the 80's we'd probably be paying 25 cents for gas instead of almost 2 dollars.

For the near future I expect things still in real demand like food, gold, silver, maybe even healthcare to reflect real inflation and sky-rocket. I know that's not news here but I had to say it. It'll probably be awhile before oil, industrial metals, clothing, technology etc, will rise due to inflation - many years perhaps. That will all depend on how soon the rest of the world like China and Russia will dump the American dollar.

The biggest crash is still ahead of us. It's coming very soon.

What will the Amero look like? Will it have a picture of Karl Marx on it?

Lol Dom I like the Gringo De Mexico Peso, because that was a legitimate beef I had with Bush. Most people bashed GWB for the wrong reasons, like he didn't "care" about black people or poor people.

Anyway, I think here's some other possibilities for the Amero

You guys are great!
The peso with GWB face is just right. In every dispute between Mexico and the US, he supported Mexico- and they still hate him.
Just like the MSM, you guys are putting BHO's face on everything. He has only been in office for a few weeks! You guys I know are kidding- aren't you?!

in yesterday's USA Today: Obama: North America needs 'aggresive action.'

what he meant was 'North American Union.'

Targeting the long and painful recession, President Obama said Monday that he and the leaders of Mexico and Canada have agreed to "aggressive, coordinated action" to restore growth across North America.
Noting the huge trading partnership among the three neighbors, Obama said that commerce must be expanded, not restricted.

"But ultimately I think the American people want fairness," he said. "And we can create a system in which you have strong border security, we have an orderly process for people to come in, but we're also giving an opportunity for those who are already in the United States to be able to achieve a pathway to citizenship so that they don't have to live in the shadows and their children and their grandchildren can have a full participation in â€" in the United States."
so in one fell swoop he manages to dismiss theneed fornational sovereignty, border security, and endorse amnesty for illegals. wow. that's impressive display of blatantly giving the middle finger to White America.

Jimmy, what you said is right on. And the foreign born Marxist will do all of that too, if we let him.
