All nine of the bystanders who were injured in yesterday's Empire State Building shooting incident were shot by police, the media is now reporting. NYPD officers "fired randomly" into the street, striking nine bystanders in the legs, buttocks and elbow. The gunman, Jeffrey Johnson, had only one intended target: his former boss. Johnson never fired at police, it turns out, despite Mayor Bloomberg's initial description claiming he did.

From what I saw on the video tape the guy pulled a gun on them and they fired at him. They were justified in shooting at him but of course like most of NY's "finest" they are crappy cops and managed to miss most of the time. However if a guy pulls a gun on you, you have to shoot at him.

Bloomberg called for nationwide gun control after the Aurora shooting. Maybe he should start by disarming his own cops as they don't seem too competent when using them.

Well, when I get up to town occasionally, and see these poor slobs in police uniforms, that saying always comes to mind. So, if they were the ones who wounded all those people, I'd say offhand, the only one who was near competant with his weapon, seems to be the dead gunman.

The media absolutely loves these types of stories. They can show the white man as a violent, psychopath that likes to shoot people. James Holmes was another great gem of a story for the anti-white media. The media also loves to show whites as sick child molesters and pedophiles even though blacks commit molestation at a higher rate than whites considering their population numbers.

The police had to shot (This could have been a suicide by cop) but hitting one or two people on a crowded street might be unavoidable at times but 9! What it sounds like is that they should give the police more training in hitting their target and less in political correctness.

What the hell happened to being always aware of what's behind your target and taking cover and holding fire when necessary? The hiring standards for police, thanks to affirmative action and political correctness , have dropped to abysmal levels. Their training consists of more Judeo-Bolshevik socio-political courses taught by the ADL and SPLC than on firearm training. I had occasion to be inside the NYC Police Academy training school. I was looking at the bulletin board. One notice read: "Gay Officers meet at such and such time and place. Coffee and refreshments will be served"

I also think starting pay for an NYC cop is relatively low for the city. You might not get the best candidates with pay scale. Traditionally NYC cops with families that lived in the city rented an apartment in Manhattan. When wages and benefits started go up then they started buying houses in the outer boroughs and in Long Island or Jersey. These days with 500K houses in lower middle class neighbourhoods the same problem might exist.
