Ali Dia, the fake footballer

Another confirmation of the Premier League obsession with black players is the (not so old) story of Ali Dia. The guy was supposedly recommended by somebody (George Weah?) over the phone to the 1996 Southampton coach Graeme Souness, did a short tryout and the next day invited to play in a real PL game! Without any background check or anything! He turned up being a fake and after playing for 40 minutes was never seen again.
However, I somehow doubt a white guy would get so much trust...:dodgy:

2 players that deserve to be mentionned in this thread i think

Bébé (Tiago Manuel Dias Correia)

he is portuguese, of cape verdian descent (a tiny island that produces a lot of footballers, some good, like nani, and a never ending list of not-so-talented players)
his "talent" was reportedly spotted during the "homeless world cup" a "world cup" for the homeless people
but it turned out to be false, as he did not participate, despite being homeless, he was not selected

he played in third division in portugal (called "second division", but it's the third, like in england)
then he was signed buy a bad portuguese club (not even bought, he was free)
suddenly, manchester decided to buy him for 9 millions euros in 2010 (i won't even tell the kind of players they could have bought for this price.....)
why? i don't know

he was however very bad in his first showings, so he almost never played with manchester united
now he is on loan to besiktas, turkey

i saw this one play
i watched spanish la liga very closely at the time

this guy came out of nowhere, and signed for barcelona at 18 years old
he was said to be one of the future best defenders in the world

and oh god, he was so bad!!!
i never saw that!
he was horrible, worse than the most obscure french ligue 1 black defender

and at that time, the number of non european players in clubs was very limited, since africans counted as non european back then (today they are counted as europeans technically because of the cotonou agreements)
he took a place in the team, so there was only 2 places left for brazilians like rivaldo, sonny anderson, ronaldo ect
what a joke!

he was so bad that after 1-2 years playing for barcelona (he even played in champions league! lol) he went out on loan to bad spanish club, to benfica, to ukranian clubs, rumanian club, greek club, albanese club, and finally in a maldivian club
his coach in the maldivian club said he was no better than a maldivian player (and that's saying a lot, since the maldives are a very very little country, known for being very bad at soccer, one of the worse in the world actually)

after 3 months, he was fired by the club:

“Okunowo could not perform at the level we wanted. Comparing that he played for Barcelona, his performance was at the same level as a Maldivian player. So we decided to terminate the contracts”

Manchester United’s peculiar £7.5million transfer of misfit striker Bebe is being investigated by anti-corruption police in Portugal, it emerged on Friday night.

It appears about £3m of the fee paid went missing. United’s decision to pay so much money for a virtual unknown raised eyebrows when they struck the deal with Portuguese club Vitoria Guimaraes in August 2010. Only 20 at the time, Bebe made just three starts for United - none in the league - before being loaned to Besiktas in Turkey last summer.
He appeared out of his depth at Old Trafford, raising questions as to why United had made such an investment.

Now it has emerged that Portuguese police are looking into the deal to find out where around £3m of the money has gone. Their anti-corruption department have scheduled hearings with various witnesses in Iberia.

Bebe’s transfer was so unusual because he was playing for tiny Division Two club Estrela da Amadora and living in a homeless shelter only weeks before joining United.
Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted he signed Bebe ‘blind’, having seen him play only on video. Former United No 2 Carlos Queiroz pointed Ferguson towards the tall striker after he scored 40 goals in six games during a street tournament.

Bebe went from earning £12,000 a year at Estrela to £12,000 a week at United. His former boss Jorge Paxaio told Sportsmail the player could have been signed for just £125,000 the previous year.

This season he has just started playing for Besiktas after rupturing knee ligaments last summer. He is expected to be sold by United - probably back to Portugal - this summer, to end one of the strangest transfers of modern times.

One of these days it would be nice to think the full story will comes out about what possessed Manchester United to sign Bébé without anyone from Old Trafford seeing him play.
Whatever the truth, the story just goes from bad to worse. Bébé travelled to Stamford Bridge for the Capital One Cup tie against Chelsea on Wednesday but watched from the stands, no longer considered good enough even on the nights when Sir Alex Ferguson plays the reserves.
Bébé was not helped by a serious knee injury during an aborted loan spell at Besiktas but he is over it now and has not made it on to the bench for United this season. Tuesday will mark the two‑year anniversary since his second and last appearance in the Premier League, both as a substitute.
He was left out of United's 25-man Champions League squad and his contribution so far is recognised in a YouTube video entitled "The B̩b̩ crossing show". It lasts almost three minutes, featuring 11 of his deliveries Рeight go straight out of play, three hit defenders.
Bébé, to recap, cost £7.4m with Jorge Mendes, United's go-to agent, taking 30% for his GestiFute agency. Just remember that the next time Ferguson talks about the "kamikaze" spending of Manchester City or Chelsea.

yes, he's really impressive
there are bad black players out there, tons of them, but this guy is not just a bad black player like we have in france, he's a fake football player
i think it's fair to say that a lot of amateur players could do better than him
it's things like that that make you realize how corrupted and upside down football became
