It's worth the price of admission. Pony up the bucks to watch the kid play. His team is awful and in the bottom five, but they work hard and Ovechkin is stellar night after night. Stayed up late to watch The Kid last eve in Anaheim, he hat-tricked and won the game. Also mugged 2 or 3 Anaheim defenders. Some pundit called him "Pavel Bure in Mark Messier's body."
Liven up, you NHL fans! It's a great game again with a bright future. The lockout is forgotten as fans flock to their tubes (and occasionally the rink) to watch.
The Blackhawks are improving, the won a few last week, could use some more talent. The Penguins are merely cursed, they have a great core and good owner. Now only need a stadium. I root for Ovechkin's team, they are undertalented but "in" every game. Nobody in the playoff hunt wants to play O and his Caps.
I'm glad I invested the hundred bucks for NHL Center Ice, it's a hoot. Beats the dickens out of ESPN. Good Riddance !! Best viewing bang for buck this year is Ottawa, Toronto, Dallas, Edmonton, Buffalo Sabres, Flyers and Redwings. Crosby, Svatos and Ovechkin are excellent rookies.
