Pats promoted this guy from the practice squad to the 53 man, just a day before the SB. He is a rookie, undrafted (of course) out of Rutgers. He spent the whole season on the practice squad, except for week 16 where he was apparently activated. But his statline is all 0s, so no idea how much playing time, if any, he got.

To make room for Silvestro they cut a WR, one "Tiquan Underwood"....

News that makes Bill Belichick's 11th hour decision to cut Tiquan Underwood and sign Silvestro more baffling. Because clearly "Tiquan", the guy who caught 3 passes all season and has never done anything, would have won the SB for the Patriots, if only he'd been available....

The Silvestro pickup was obviously a depth move. The Pats ended up not using him, because the guys ahead of him didn't get hurt during the game. You need to plan for injuries, otherwise NFL rosters would be 30 guys instead of 53. It was the right move, unless a better coach/GM than Belichick is going to come explain to us why they should have kept Tiquan.

Oh, does anyone know if "zero snaps" means no kickoffs also?
