Israel bombs Lebanon, the U.S. says just minimize the 'collateral damage,' and then we send $30 million dollars in aid to Lebanon to help clean up the mess? wtf?

Aid Package for Lebanon

Sounds like a smaller scale version of U.S. policy in Iraq -- reduce Iraq's infrastructure to rubble and then award no-bid contracts to Halliburton and friends to reconstruct at great profit whatthe Pentagondestroyed.

$30 million will replace maybe one Dam or one Bridge that the Israelis have destroyed. The U.S. pay for the bombs and now starting to pay for the repairs. This is the price for having a little Pit-Bull of a state in the Middle East to set on to Moslem world, when the U.S lets it of its leash.

Well said, Don. Create a problem, offer a self-serving solution. That's the way the government works, especially this administration.

One idea that makes sense but will never even be considered by U.S. politicians is to use Israel's yearly allowance to pay for the repairs to Lebanon. I've read the amount ranges from $1-3 BILLION annually. If someone can justify giving them any money, please do.

Maybe the $30 Million of aid for Lebanon came out of Israels 3 Billion. So that would only leave them 2.97 Billion. That'll teach them.
