Podsenik.I will keep my eye on him.We need to get more
good base stealers in the majors.I am so sick and tired
of the myth that whites can't run or jump.Adam Godwin

You don't really need blazing speed to steal bases though. It's mostly
just seeing how the pitcher throws the ball, and knowing his routine. I
know a few player's who have tremendous speed, and are just not able to
steal bases. It all boils down to that stealing bases is a lost
art for white player's. It will keep heading that way if coaches
buy into that stereotype that white player's can't run etc..

The ironic and good thing about Godwin is he may not even be the fastest white guy in the conference. Steson's Shane Jordan was picked by Baseball America as the fastest and Florida Atlantic sophmore Mike McBryde not only can fly but might be best athlete in college baseball. Always great to hear about this sort of thing. McBryde ran a 6.3 60 yard dash in high school. He is also having a stellar year so far.
