A lynching you've never heard of...because the victims were White. Scary, evil stuff. Utterly smashes three myths that are constantly shoved down our throats:

- White people can never be victims
- Jews can never be perpetrators
- Government and police can never be corrupt (unless they're arresting black criminals)

The article touches on how working-class white men have been made scapegoats throughout history, the level of Jewish privilege that existed even back then, the level of privilege that the rich and politically connected have always had, the people being whipped into a hate-filled frenzy by media propaganda (just like happens today), and the eerie similarities between politically correct mob mentality then and now. The bloodthirsty mob that committed the lynching were, essentially, the "woke" of their day.

Given the lack of evidence against them, the fact that the police beat and threatened them to coerce confessions, and the fact that ransom demands continued to be made after the two men had been jailed, it's almost certain that the two lynching victims, Thomas Thurmond and John Holmes, were innocent of the kidnapping and murder of which they were accused.

Neither man had a criminal record of any kind.

Thomas Thurmond, 27, was dirt-poor, worked as a gas station attendant, and was described as "mentally slow" by his family and neighbors. He was the epitome of the poor, powerless Forgotten Man in the midst of the Great Depression.

John Holmes, 29, worked as a salesman for the Union Oil Company. He was a family man. He and his wife, Evelyn, had two small children, ages 5 and 4.

After the lynching, Evelyn Holmes filed several lawsuits against the corrupt politicians and cops who had allowed the lynching to take place and, in some cases, conspired with the mob. She and her children, who suffered unimaginable trauma from the murder of their father and having to listen to the justification of the lynching by the press, never received one single penny in compensation. Mrs. Holmes lived to her 80s, mentally sharp even at that age, and maintained her husband's innocence until the day she died.

Not one single member of the lynch mob was ever arrested or prosecuted.

Rest in peace, Thomas Thurmond and John Holmes. History may have forgotten you, but we have not.

Rather interesting and a very unknown piece of history.

Pretty crazy how far back the rot in this country went. Not surprisingly, our Greatest Allies have been there the whole time poisoning the well. And normies were as gullible and easily manipulated then as they are now.
